Hanley has had a disappointing season and he had an awful game last night, but in the first 2 games of this series he had 3 hits, 2 walks, and 3 RBI. I don't think he should be yanked from the lineup because of last night.

I think one of the sources of confusion/conflict is that while we all have certain beliefs about the human element's effect on performance, statistics are generally not capable of measuring that effect.
