  1. The injury actually ended up being a little worse than I thought. I figured maybe a sprained ankle, he'd go on the 10 days but a cracked bone and as much as two weeks? Glad he's not out with an acl or something, but that still sucks, esp with the Yankems coming in. Watch Stanton start getting hot now, I'd bet a dollar on it....
  2. This forum needs a like button.
  3. They're trying to cut back on Sale a little so he doesn't hit a wall in September like he almost always does, around 90 pitches opening day, I understood taking him out. Cora left Kelly in too long I agree, but that's not why I'd be mad if I cared enough to actually get mad. The more things change the more they stay the same, I've been saying this for years: 1. Joe Kelly is basically useless. He throws a million mph, but his ball does NOTHING even in the times he can manage to control it. He either implodes the game himself, or sets it in motion for someone else to finish up. DFA the ex-Cardinal, I've never liked him. 2. Bend over and grab your ankles against a terrible team at Tropicana, it's what we DO. Same crap, different day. Tomorrow night I'll probably get my fire pit out, listen to some audio books and completely ignore this BS. I've done it before I'll do it again.
  4. I love the signing, but I'm a little confused. I don't know much about him, isn't he an outfielder? Will he be swapped in occasionally between DH and OF? MLBN has Mooreland and Ramirez platooning. That's crazy, Mooreland is no Hanley assuming Hanley is healthy. Hanley needs to be in there every day.
  5. Never liked the guy, like, at all, but I hope he helps the Sox.
  6. Thats true most of the time, but I'm telling you, I've watched the Reds all my life, and trust me, Votto CAN be a head case.
  7. I've watched Votto a lot, following the Reds like I do. The only thing I can say against him is that sometimes he has stretches where he gets in his own head and goes into a funk. He's not nearly as bad about that as he used to be though, may not be an issue.
  8. Yeah, that was part of what I meant when I said they played a little over their heads. Yankee pitching was solid, but not THAT good. But even so, this Sox team just does not hit well enough, and is missing some of the intangibles the 2013 team had. Address those two issues, and we are better than NYY.
  9. Check again, now we have two.
  10. Hahahaha
  11. He's going to do like his buddy A-Roid and sign with NYY at the last moment. Why else would he have been there?
  12. It's worse than even that. He's wearing another team's uniform while claiming to work for us, although beating NYY is kind of like working for us, BUT STILL.......never trust a guy who's moonlighting and doesn't show up to the job site, or to even sit at his desk.
  13. I hate the Yankees as much as ever, and no one is happier they went down. However, let me say that the Yankees fought like true warriors this month, (maybe played a little over their heads) which is much more than I can say about our beloved Dead Sox, who, as predicted by myself, went down like milquetoast wusses the last two years. If the Sox front office doesn't get busy, and fast, we are going to find ourselves buried in the late 90's again. This NYY team is loaded, and whether it's getting Giancarlo Stanton or someone LIKE him, something has to be done about this offense, and something has to be done to get the right HEART in this team, a heart like the 2013 team had. If we don't, we got real trouble on the horizon. Aaron Judge is the real thing, and so is Sanchez, Sevorino, Bird, Gregorious--the whole bunch. Houston may have done us a favor, Im not sure we'd have beaten this Yankees team in the ALCS, I'd rather lose to Houston. Time to get to work or else.
  14. Bum. Hasn't won a single game yet. Unbelievable.
  15. Again, let me ask, this team has hitting? Worst, most infuriatingly inconsistent hitting Sox team I've ever seen. How many times have I seen this team have a runner at second, or runners at first and second and no one out, and I KNOW they are NOT going to score. Pop up and two strike outs later, on to the next inning.
