  1. Bullpen needed some rest too. We had played 8 straight days including a 15 inning game and 2 11 inning games.
  2. I'm not into the crow stuff. I'm just not taking this division for granted at all yet. The Yanks have 6 games left vs Toronto, 3 vs Rays, 1 vs KC. 7 are at home. They might win out. We have 4 left against Houston, and Houston is only one out in the loss column for best record in the AL.
  3. Wanting to secure the division has nothing to do with Grady Little.
  4. It may be an issue. The bigger issue at the moment is securing the division.
  5. Concerns about Sale being tired in the playoffs pale next to concerns about losing the division to the Yankees or ending up in a tie with them and possibly having to play not one but two playin games.
  6. 90% doesn't get it. If we lost last night it would probably be down to 80% or something. Yanks are hot and have a cupcake schedule for their last 10.
  7. Clown post bro.
  8. I was surprised as well.
  9. Who would you have started tonight?
  10. Who would you have started tonight?
  11. Yeah, you can't assume anything.
  12. Sort of, yes.
  13. Might as well get this post of the way early... Miley sucks! We should be lighting this bum up!
  14. I know...Jesus.
  15. Here we go.
  16. For clarification, 2018 is Pomeranz's final arb year. 2019 he's a free agent.
  17. Yeah, you guys are 9 wins below your Pythagorean record.
  18. The wild pitch wouldn't have been anything without the walks that preceded it though. The Red Sox run scored through a series of 'bad plays' by the pitcher.
  19. Run differential is certainly the most reliable measurement of a team's overall strength. You can find a lot of seasons where the strongest team didn't win the trophy, though, of course.
  20. It's not semantics that Devers' error last night didn't cost anything.
  21. I think it's certainly a worthwhile idea. Either that or Raffy really has to improve in the field.
  22. One bad play can CONTRIBUTE to a loss - that's the key word. In this case you saw an example of how a bad play can have no ultimate impact because of the other plays in the inning. JBJ's plays contributed hugely, that's for sure...
