  1. We've become a little spoiled, I think. It's still a great time to be a Red Sox fan, and that's been true since 2003. The John Henry era continues to pile up accomplishments.
  2. Show him the money!
  3. Holy crap, wouldn't that be a coup.
  4. Of course you're not getting anything for Pedroia right now. He's 34 and he's contemplating knee surgery. Doesn't mean it's been a bad contract.
  5. I was playing the 'shouldn't have traded Miller' card myself a few times this year, but in the end I think that would be wrong. However, I think all the early hooks for Yankee starters finally caught up to the Yankee pen the last 2 games.
  6. The Yankees scored 3 runs in the 4 games in Houston. They scored 19 runs in the 3 games in NY. It's a crazy game.
  7. With Stanton, the money is doable for the Sox. It all depends how much talent the Marlins want in return.
  8. The thread started by examiner was mainly for the purpose of moaning and groaning about the Sox.
  9. Yeah the Dodgers have strength at the top now with Friedman, and Dave Roberts too I think.
  10. I'll take the Astros, and Altuve for Series MVP. He is playing and leading like a man possessed.
  11. Ben messed up some stuff pretty good too. He was no Theo either, that's all I'm really saying.
  12. Shoulda traded him after 2014 when his value was at its highest! (I'm just messing around with this nonsense.)
  13. But is it straight flamethrowers who have the most injuries or pitchers who throw the most hard breaking pitches?
  14. You're right, it is a beautiful day. And we're still out-titling the Yanks 3-1 in the John Henry era!
  15. Theo's at least.
  16. Freaking crazy game isn't it.
  17. LOL good one.
  18. Just hope that Girardi didn't burn out some of those bullpen arms he leaned so hard on. And Betances had some serious issues at the end.
  19. The dilemma with Sale this season can be stated simply. Yes, we could have shaved some innings off his arm. In so doing, we would have risked not winning the division.
  20. I'm quite sure no one has ever said Price has a tear.
  21. He really wasn't. His defense was 'a work in progress' and he had good on-base skills but very little power.
  22. You do have to go through those game logs in more detail though. That June 10 11-3 game, for example, was tied 3-3 going to the bottom of the 7th. You also have to consider who would have pitched those innings when we took Sale out early. Probably Barnes, Hembree or Abad! Sound like fun?
  23. The 2015 world champion Royals had a phenomenal season from their bullpen, with a 2.72 ERA. In 2016 their bullpen had a 3.45 ERA. Lightning in a bottle...it happens, but you can't really count on it.
  24. He'll be busy, you can count on that.
