  1. Max's post was 100% sarcasm. He said '29th worst offense'.
  2. Bogaerts got injured on April 8 and was out almost 3 weeks. Also, Benintendi's OBP was .358 as late as May 1. We're still dealing with some fairly small and volatile sample sizes here.
  3. Well, you guys have Gardner leading off with a .627 OPS. But you're scoring piles of runs. Maybe, as Kimmi suggests, the batting order is not that big of a deal.
  4. I know you were being serious and I meant to give you an honest compliment.
  5. Good for you Thunder, seriously.
  6. Yeah, you gotta love that 'Exit Velocity', huh?
  7. No changes to the pen because of budgetary restrictions and hopes that the already-heavily-invested-in Smith and Thornburg would be major contributors.
  8. As far is Beni is concerned, Cora is being patient, that's all. You start out the season with a projected optimum lineup and you can't start juggling it based on who's not and who's not the first month. If Beni's numbers don't improve he will get dropped down at some point. As I like to say, it's a damn good thing the team has more patience than the fans do, or we'd be screwed.
  9. Farrell gave up on Salty in the 2013 World Series and went with Ross the final 3 games, all of them wins.
  10. Oh, this'll be good, thanks Jackso.
  11. Man, that ball that JD hit, that Hanley got thrown out on, hit the very top of the wall. Game of inches and all that.
  12. Please don't start with the zombie s*** again. Stick with the prospect reports, you're good with those.
  13. This is really interesting. Deserves a thread of its own.
  14. Now there's a nice timely post. Your Yankees pen has had its issues too.
  15. Holy crap, enough with the senior moments boys.
  16. Everybody gets their rest days with Skipper Cora.
  17. You Mister Magoo'd that one, mvp was talking about C. Smith.
  18. That's a sound theory I'd say.
  19. He's definitely looked better. You can tell Cora is still cautious about using him too much though. That could change.
  20. I really don't think Cora or the team want Barnes to be the 8th inning guy on a consistent basis. If we're lucky, by the end of the year we'll have Thornburg, Smith and Kelly pitching well and they'll be getting those 8th inning gigs ahead of Barnes.
  21. It's certainly a valid concern, but the metrics seem to be saying he's no worse than Moose, maybe a little better.
  22. FanGraphs seems to be the most highly regarded source.
  23. Not many in the last 20 years or so, I'd guess. Rivera had piles of them when you include the postseason. Andrew Miller has had a lot of 5 out holds, I think, since joining Cleveland.
  24. Carpal Tunnel Awareness jerseys are coming tomorrow.
