The Red Sox have had a lot of trouble scoring early runs lately, although they have won a lot of those games where they didn't score early.

One thing for sure, DD did a great job hiring Cora and letting Cashman find himself a doofus.

I think the basic principle is you don't pinch-hit for them unless you're behind, or if you're tied or up one and the bases are loaded, that type of thing - strictly situational.

Absolutely. It's usually an intricate game being played between the pitcher/catcher and the hitter. It's not too often you see a pitcher just trying to throw it past the hitter anymore. -
I dunno Slash, I just took a look at the game thread from Sept. 9 and the negativity is still pretty amazing.
