  1. A lot of people here said Leon saved our asses in Game One with all the bounced pitches he blocked.
  2. I do expect to see Holt or Devers or both in the lineup tomorrow night.
  3. You seem to have constructed a perfect little Catch-22 there. If we don't score runs it's because our approach stinks. If we do score runs it's only because the other pitcher was terrible. Happ pitched very well against us this year and the Yanks made sure to line him up to start Game 1 against us.
  4. They scored 5 runs off Happ in "2+" innings. (2 were inherited runners of Green's). While your point may apply to last night's game, trying to stretch it out to both games makes it thinner than a fashion model on a hunger strike.
  5. Kind of funny - a troll starts a ridiculous thread and we run with it anyway.
  6. And I don't think Jim had the advantage of juiced baseballs.
  7. Can't argue with that.
  8. Not 8-7, no. But 2 runs doesn't get it. Maybe against Verlander. But Tanaka is a guy we've had some success against. Kelly and Brasier kept us in the game and the offense didn't do anything with it.
  9. We only scored 2 last night. Deserved to lose on both counts.
  10. Your confidence is admirable, moon. Still feel the same?
  11. All makes pretty good sense.
  12. He's 2 for 8 in the series. Not great, but this is a pretty dumb comment, STORK.
  13. Ban yourself.
  14. Yes, a LOOGY in fact.
  15. 2 hits but 4 walks and 87 pitches. Kind of shaky.
  16. Wouldn't it still be 5-1?
  17. The Buffalo Heads formed when Zimmer was manager I believe.
  18. 1975 was a great season. Game 7 was kind of a painful way to end it. We had a 3-0 lead in that game. Spaceman threw an ill-advised eephus to Tony Perez that made it 3-2. Rose knocked in the tying run and Morgan knocked in the winner.
  19. 8:15 game time God bless the Powers that Be for these Prime Time slots!
  20. Poyner advocates please note: He had 3 appearances vs. the Yanks this year and was scored on in all 3. Totals - 5 IP, 4 ER, 8 hits (2 HR), 1 BB, 1 HBP
  21. I followed the very end of the game last night on Alex Speier's Twitter feed.
  22. True confessions: I can't even watch these games any more. My nerves simply can't take it. I follow on Gameday and DVR the game so I can watch later if good stuff happens.
  23. Bad news on Wright. Have to do this without him.
  24. Not exactly the same team, but it was a case of standing still, since we made no acquisitions and went with what we had. The only real moves were to let Ellsbury and Drew go in favor of giving JBJ and Bogaerts their shot. I didn't have any major issues with Ben for the 2014 season. It was the 2015 season where he really made a lot of questionable moves.
