  1. We're seeing a ton of mistakes by the two teams that had the best regular seasons. You have to chalk some of it up to pressure and tension, I think. Some of it is just the random craziness of the game.
  2. It'd be nice to see Mookie get his first postseason homer tonight. Maybe his second as well...
  3. What's the knock on Bregman being moved to leadoff? They scored 6 runs. And it was Bregman that had the big chance in the 9th because he was hitting leadoff. In any case it wasn't their offense that cost them the game.
  4. And accountants think the glass is twice as big as it should be.
  5. Come on guys. This is like 5 pages and running.
  6. You are like a breath of fresh air here.
  7. He might be tipping - that would make some sense.
  8. Jeffrey Maier...Steve Bartman...Troy Caldwell. There will be more, you can be sure of that. It's just human nature to try to catch a ball coming toward you. Fan interference controversies in baseball could easily be prevented if they there was some sort of buffer zone between the walls and the first row of seats. There's no interference in other sports. Why doesn't MLB do something? Presumably because it would cost $$$
  9. The dude's name is Troy Caldwell and he is indeed having stories written about him. https://nypost.com/2018/10/18/interfering-astros-fan-goes-on-the-attack-against-joke-ump/
  10. Yes, there's been plenty of bad pitching by the Stros, and they were easily the best staff in baseball this year. It's a crazy freaking game.
  11. Are you ready for some Heath Hembree action?
  12. Maybe they should tear down and rebuild the stands.
  13. If that would be fun for you, of course you should.
  14. So was it a failure of the 'throw stuff at the wall' concept as well?
  15. Depends how much space they leave. If you're 6 feet back from the wall you just can't get there LOL
  16. The fan interference controversies in baseball could easily be prevented if they left a little space between the walls and the first row of seats. There's no interference in other sports. Of course no changes will be made because it would cost $$$
  17. Hey STORK. Just for fun I thought I'd reproduce a few of your choice comments after the Sox won the ALDS. "This is bound to piss off many blind Red Sox fans since after beating the Yankees I no longer care what happens the rest of the way. Good luck to the good guys in white and red. Benintendi will never be a serious player , weak arm and no bat when it counts. The offense could not produce a single run since the 4th inning. Astros will own these guys in the ALCS, but nice to make an appearance."
  18. Personally I think it would be much better on the Old Time Occupations list. Do we have one?
  19. Jim Ray Hart
  20. Machado is there for me too. Reputation-wise he's got 2 strikes against him now. 1) He's a dirty player. 2) He doesn't hustle all the time, he knows it and he doesn't apologize for it.
  21. If the Sox get Machado, committing acts of thuggery against other teams’ players poses a potential threat to himself, and he'll then be a Sox infielder, so that's no solution.
  22. Also, if Barnes or Brasier could do this routinely, they would be the closer. Quite possibly one of them will be next year.
  23. Not as stressful, I would presume. But there's always the possibility of pinch hitters. And one guy reaches base and you're back to the top of the order. And they're still major league hitters and randomness and yada yada yada...
