  1. Just guessing here along with everyone else, but I think maybe Price is getting the ball because Cora figures he has a better chance of getting deeper into the game. And the bullpen is taxed to say the least, especially with E-Rod out of the picture.
  2. If the Sox get this done, you're going to need a DVD set so you can watch what actually happened. Me too, in fact.
  3. Kinsler was a good move too, IMO. But not everything works out.
  4. Something else to chew on, Max, about how managerial decisions are viewed: After Game 3 Cora was being criticized in a lot of quarters for 'going all-in' with Eovaldi. After Game 4 we heard a lot about how Eovaldi's performance in Game 3 was very inspirational to the team.
  5. No question. I love having Cora as our manager.
  6. With Eovaldi and Pearce, I think Dombrowski may have had the greatest deadline in the history of general managers.
  7. Cora probably made his worst mistake as a manager letting E-Rod face Puig. But then Dave Roberts said 'I'll see you that mistake and raise you one, by bringing in the horrible Ryan Madson in a key situation again!'
  8. Manny the Menace! The guy is unbelievable.
  9. OK quick trivia question - before Kinsler, what was the name of the last Sox second baseman to make a postseason crucial error before this one.
  10. Kinsler has had an excellent career. His career WAR is about the same as Pedroia's. And he had some good postseason numbers coming into this year. Last night was just one of those disasters similar to ones that have befallen others before him like Jackie Smith and Bill Buckner.
  11. (Copied from Game 3 thread) I could be wrong, but it seems like the move of pinch-running for your slugger backfires more often than it works out.
  12. Yeah, you gotta love that.
  13. I could be wrong, but it seems like the move of pinch-running for your slugger backfires more often than it works out.
  14. He's a great player. Have some faith.
  15. But every game is huge in a playoff series.
  16. On the Dodgers side, Jansen threw 32 pitches last night and Baez threw 26, so that's a plus for us.
  17. Leon was actually one of the offensive stars. I don't see how Betts and Bogaerts flailing is a Cora issue. It was just a horrible game for the offense, that's all.
  18. And how the hell is it Cora's fault that the top 5 in the lineup were 0 for 28? The game was not lost by the manager.
  19. There's some serious ******** in there IMO. Such as about Benintendi. We all knew either JBJ or Benintendi would be sitting. As it turned out JBJ was our offensive star.
  20. f*** you, you're a scumbag troll posting under multiple names.
  21. It's easy to s*** on everyone when you're not even a fan of the team, huh?
