    Well, I just disagree that giving guys a bit more rest in ST is the same as telling them they don't have to work as hard this year. Most of those differences you cited are pretty darn small BTW.

    It's pretty hard to conduct a debate using comments that were made on TV or radio broadcasts unless they were subsequently put in print. Are you able to document the exact comments that were made?

    Yeah, we're 'stuck' with the team we have this year. Adding a reliever would be good. The only solution is for the same players to play better. We know they can do it.

Apparently you don't notice that we frequently disagree with each other. notin was actually fully in agreement with you about not addressing the bullpen in the off-season.

    We're spoiled though Denny. We've won the division 3 years in a row for the first time since there were divisions, plus a World Series win in there. It'd be nice to keep rolling forever, but it just doesn't happen.

    The only change is that there will no longer be any trades after July 31.

    The OP is just plain cracked. The only realistic selloff possibility of note is that if the Red Sox are truly dead meat in July, they might listen to offers for Porcello because his contract is up.

    In last night's game the pen kept us in the game and gave us a chance for a win. But there's no stat for that.

    Triple A home runs are up about 50% this year. Why? Because they switched to the MLB ball. That's almost funny.
