One thing about Eovaldi is, and correct me if I'm wrong, but his last two injured stints were not for actual injuries. They were procedures to remove 'loose bodies' which came from his last TJ surgery. Rather annoying that it would happen twice.

Grady was going to have to use the bullpen in that game eventually. I don't think even Grady planned to have Pedro throw 155 pitches like Luis Tiant did in Game of the 1975 WS.

Beeks had a 6.49 ERA and a 1.77 WHIP after the ASB last year. I don't think he's actually all that good.

No, I was riding the gravy train like everyone else. I don't think DD did a bad job, personally. But I still like the move to Bloom at this point.

The four WS wins have taken the sting out for me. I just find it's impossible to resist revisiting those occasions. You certainly don't forget them or how tragic they seemed at the time. The 1978 playoff game was the worst for me. I was crushed.

I think when push comes to shove, MLB players know they have it pretty damn good compared to other pro athletes, regardless of the PR rhetoric.
