  1. He's not a mental midget. He's a midget in the literal sense of the word.
  2. Where and when? Wright and Hernandez are a journeyman and a non-prospect. Workman is a young, work-in-progress prospect.
  3. It's funny you say that, because the last "epic" three-team trade that happened in MLB (The Granderson trade) pretty much benefited all three teams, although at varying degrees.
  4. Doesn't Young only have the rest of this year left on his contract? I'm okay with him potentially being a rental for us and all but I don't see how that would help the Phillies enough to lessen the blow on the prospects it would take to get the deal done.
  5. That speaks volumes to the overall sense of general negativity embedded in the Red Sox fanbase.
  6. I'd love Stanton but that package we'd be sending their way is far too much for us to get rid of. Stanton still isn't a guaranteed star for years to come if you ask me, and even if just 2 of those 4-5 prospects we'd be sending their way pan out, it wouldn't be worth it. Asking just 2 of our top 4/5 prospects to pan out isn't asking much.
  7. You want more sources than the fact that it was and is illegal to purchase HGH unless it's for a medically approved purpose? Are you for real? So you're advocating he get a prescription for it illegally for a purpose other than the one HGH is legally prescribed for (HGH deficiency, like Daniel Nava has)? No wonder you defend his cheating, you advocate for dishonesty and cheating yourself.
  8. It happens to every team. We're just more focused on the Red Sox because it's our team. Just think that Chris "Who is Chris Denorfia?" Denorfia hit a two run walk-off homer off Aroldis Chapman yesterday, and i'm not sure even he believes it.
  9. I'm trying to not get personal here, but are you really this dumb? First off HGH was a banned substance, but its use couldn't be punished because there was no testing method at the time. Second, it was a criminal offense to acquire HGH. So not only is he a cheater, he's a criminal. Wake up.
  10. My head's gonna f***in explode if we trade Bogaerts or Bradley. Even if it's for Lee. I respect Cliff Lee and think he's an amazing pitcher but these two guys can be big time players for us for years to come, especially Bogaerts in my opinion. Cherington better not do it.
  11. The Midget is an idiot.
  12. The issue here is the line of discussion. Divinity is arguing that because Petitte only used HGH to come back from injury (allegedly) he didn't "cheat". That is borderline retarded. He cheated, he came clean about cheating, and he is a cheater.
  13. That depends on Buch's health, and 2011 Carpenter would not be a good match against Detroit's top three, Colon the cheat, or Price. But because it's baseball, and the playoffs are a crapshoot, who knows?
  14. In this case, it makes it end of story because there's no way to justify his actions. He may be less of a cheater than Clemens, but he's still a cheater.
  15. He had the IP, but an 108 ERA+ is not ace-worthy. Super 2? Sure. I was pretty sure he was injured after game 1 of the WS. Didn't he not pitch again that series?
  16. In 2006, Wainwright was in the BP and Carpenter was injured. In 2011, Wainwright had TJ and Carpenter pitched lights out in the postseason, but he was clearly not an ace anymore.
  17. Yeah there have been some WS champions the last ten or so years that have lacked a definitive "ace" in their staff. Both Cards editions that won the WS and the 2005 White Sox quickly come to mind.
  18. I think it's more because of the teams he's been in, with the exception of the time he was traded for Halladay.
  19. It is a competitive advantage. Why are you even arguing this? It's like saying that jumping in water doesn't make you wet. Stop.
  20. It is when you take steroids, lie about it, and then come clean and cry like a little bitch only 'cause you'll get caught. Also if you're "deeply religious" and you engage in illegal activities, isn't that morally reprehensible?
  21. That doesn't even make sense. Whether they tested for it or not makes it no less illegal.
  22. In Petitte's case it's well deserved given the circumstances. Remember the "super-religious nice guy" persona? Yeah, that went out the window.
  23. Yes, and then you're not just a homer, you're a defender of cheaters. The only reason HGH was not "banned" before 2005 is because there was no reliable way of testing for it, but possessing HGH without a prescription was a criminal act way before 2005. You are stretching the truth in order to defend a morally reprehensible and downright criminal behavior. Stop.
