  1. Isn't that basically what i just said? Why would you trade him for a mid-tier prospect? You're better off holding off to him, provided money doesn't become an issue.
  2. I really don't like moving Iglesias. I liked the kid a lot and I'm not high on Peavy at all. I guess you kind of have to do it though. Excited to see what Bogaerts will bring.
  3. iortiz, i'm not refusing to see anything. I am telling you they are not similar. By your logic, Justin Verlander and Felix Doubront are "similar" because their ERA's are close. Stop it.
  4. Peavy's very frail. This could bite them in the ass big time.
  5. Who takes Dempster off your hands? Be realistic. Because of the options you present, you're much more likely to get something for Doubront instead of just giving away Dempster. I hope they trade no one though.
  6. Sugarcoat what? Peavy's frail, and i didn't want them to get him. I am just telling you that they are not similar pitchers. It's not rocket science. Peavy's better, but is never healthy. Dempster's healthy, but is not that good. Just because pitchers have similar ERA's doesn't make them similar pitchers. Stop it.
  7. Doubront is probably a goner.
  8. They really aren't. When healthy (and that's a big when) Peavy is a #2 pitcher, but he's frail. Dempster is always healthy, but he's a middle of the rotation starter. Saying that two guys are the same because they have similar ERA's makes no sense.
  9. I thought you expected them to get Lee?
  10. Dempster pitched in the NL for the last couple of years, and he's been healthy. Peavy's been pitching in the AL, and mostly injured. Not comparable.
  11. Why do you people keep comparing Peavy to Dempster? They are literally polar opposites. Peavy is effective but fragile. Dempster is inconsistent but durable.
  12. No JBJ, No Cecchini per sources.
  13. Dodgers don't have the prospects. How would the Phillies justify just giving away Lee?
  14. Several sources reporting that Bradley was taken out due to discomfort in his elbow, and is not part of the Peavy deal.
  15. What are you talking about? The two are polar opposites.
  16. You do know Kenny Williams is no longer GM of the White Sox right? Also, that comment is ridiculous and not funny. Nice try though.
  17. A's get Callaspo, cockblock Yankees. It was a good day.....
  18. I prefer "low-life lying criminal"
  19. Are you saying that a top 4 of Lee-Buchholz-Lackey-Lester couldn't pitch at the same level of the Rays or Tigers' top 4? Because statistically, that is ridiculous.
  20. Shouldn't Workman's performance and their record without Buchholz actually be a reason to be more confident in the team?
  21. No, it's because the media wants the team with the money to get Lee! So they're setting it up so he goes to the Dodgers even though they have absolutely no influence whatsoever over the decision makers! Get with the program.
  22. So the team with the third best record in MLB is not a "true" contender right now?
  23. Dude stop it with all of the reaching.
