  1. This is spot on. I personally think the Sox should go slightly above Pence money for Ellsbury, since he is a better ballplayer but has a questionable health track record. The problem is that some team is going to offer him middle-of-the-order superstar money and the Sox won't match that.
  2. Is this srerious?
  3. Oh? I thought he couldn't compete with Kershaw over a full series. I highly, highly doubt that.
  4. Choker. Standing Room, wherever he is, can finally STFU with his theory that Melancon can handle the bright lights.
  5. A player-manager in 2014? Surely you jest.
  6. That's why i miss ORS. No one could put people (including me) in their place like he could. He also tore Jacko a new ******* on a daily basis. Good times.
  7. Who are the other two? And, i miss ORS.
  8. Very very very briefly. He didn't throw a pitch for the Sox or any of their affiliates.
  9. We get it. It's almost your birthday.
  10. Fred, the Carpenter pitching for the Braves and the one we had last year (Chris Carpenter, no relation to the accomplished STL pitcher) are not the same guy. Also, the name of the Braves closer is Craig Kimbrel.
  11. That's the key to it. Money. If the Cubs had offered him 5 years at more money, he'd be wearing their uniform right now.
  12. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Please stop.
  13. Fixed.
  14. You mean you're praying to every known deity that the WS is any combination of teams that does not involve the Red Sox.
  15. Written by a guy called WillFromVirginia in the mlb.com comments section of the article "Roster full of talent lends synergy to Red Sox" by Richard Justice. Glorious.
  16. Insurance run, then win. Breslow player of the game.
  17. Nava probably made that decision by himself, and Farrell was saving Berry (his last OF iirc) for another spot.
  18. David Ross is the pinnacle of what scouts call slider bat speed.
  19. Why was Nava running? Why was Nava running? Why was Nava running? Why was Nava running?
  20. Taz for the 8th. If anyone gets on base, go to Uehara.
  21. Mexican broadcast gushing about Victorino. Calling him "super player" and "true five-tool talent"
