  1. Bogaerts swung at a meatball and should have put it into orbit. Them's the breaks.
  2. As the weather warms up and the bats along with it, then:
  3. Money talks. If he hits FA, it's fair game.
  4. Mujica is a streaky pitcher. He will improve imo.
  5. I think they get an upper-echelon pitcher, but not two, and not necessarily either of them. It could be Masterson or Shields on a shorter term deal, or a trade for Lee if the Phillies decide to stop being f***ing idiots.
  6. It's nice to be able to dream.....
  7. As usual, the problem with Jacko is the delivery, not the content. What he says makes sense (the whole fiasco regarding his son will weigh on him and eventually the team from a PR standpoint) but presenting it like it's Remy's fault and in such a douchey manner deserves every bit of scorn he gets. Stick to doctorin' Jacko, your writing is terrible.
  8. You mean Pedroia, the guy who was leading off when the Sox won the 2007 WS? There's that. Also, Victorino is here now, so your argument is moot. Honestly, you're a f***ing idiot and not worth bothering with. Good luck until natural selection takes care of you.
  9. In all fairness, Zobrist and Myers can hit too.
  10. Oh, so Victorino and Pedroia aren't legitimate lead-off options? You're in no position to use the word moron on anyone other than yourself. Hilariously, Pedroia got on base three times and stole a base from the lead-off spot (and drove in 4 with his blast, to boot)
  11. Original Poster aka guy who started the thread.
  12. Not to mention that he has legitimate lead-off possibilities. OP is being an idiot honestly.
  13. I was going to say that "this is hysterical" but then i realized what an accurate description of Fred that actually is.
  14. The fact that a Yankees fan who is contractually obligated to be an insufferable douche when confronted with Red Sox fans is the one bringing sanity and logic to this website is disheartening.
  15. Man you're pretty good at logic. I like you.
  16. Sorry, i wasn't talking about you. I'm talking about a700 (as usual) taking one of my posts out of context. I clearly stated that they are having trouble right now because they're sucking with RISP and there are no excuses for that. What my initial post stated was that there will be growing pains as the core of this team changes. I also don't think a700 understands what a team's "core" actually is. A bunch of complementary pieces don't form a team's core. But guys like XB who profile as cornerstones of this franchise are a whole different deal and can't just be replaced on a whim.
  17. There's also Cecchini behind WMB in the depth chart, and he's the better prospect regardless of what Betts is currently doing.
  18. That doesn't make any sense. The Sox have more high-upside pitching talent in the minors right now than they've had at any point during my time as a Red Sox fan.
  19. His arm was rated as a 60-65 by most scouts in his younger years. Look it up through google.
  20. This team is going to struggle with growing pains and the infusion of new, young talent. They will compete because the division is not very good this year, but fans will just have to deal with the fact that this team's core is transitioning and it's going to be ugly at times.
  21. He has been terrible, that is true. But what the hell does their poor hitting with RISP have to do with chemistry? They've been terrible because they've been terrible.
