Look, i'm not trying to s*** on Ellsbury here, he's a good player, but the contract is stupid. Not as stupid for the Yanks because they can't absorb it, but you can be certain that had he signed that deal here, the Red Sox wouldn't have been as likely to be able to absorb the back-end of the contract. The whining about Ellsbury is unfounded anyway. He's one month into his Yankee career, and JBJ is one month into his career period. Let's wait just a teeny bit.
