  1. Two words: Good win
  2. My thoughts exactly when I read this. We value Mookie for things that are far more important than baserunning. For one, he's a much better defender than Ellsbury.
  3. I haven't watched or heard a game in two weeks because I've been so busy. I'm done with that stuff now. Let's go!
  4. I haven't watched the last two games, and we've won. In that case, see y'all tomorrow.
  5. Someone want to explain what CHB is to me???
  6. Congrats, sir! I bet it's a day you've been anticipating for a long time.
  7. Yeah, I've been busy this week as well. Just got out of school, and had to go to by brother's HS graduation. This weekend, we have various parties to go to and host, and next week I'm not going to be free to post during games.
  8. Yeah, we could have hammered the s*** out of Ventura.
  9. Dammit A-Rod! At least Jeter beat him by hitting a GS for the 3,000th hit.
  10. Didn't realie how great the pitching matchup in Seattle last night was. King Felix outdueled MadBum, but MadBum still went 8 strong and struck out 9.
  11. Good job there by Ben. Makes me feel a little better about the scenario, and the future. I would like to see him step down though. I've never liked him.
  12. Well he was an NL pitcher until last year...
  13. You're right. I think many people have overlooked the offense because of the fact that the rotation is terrible and the team as a whole has been so bad. We were expecting the offense to be so good, and that they would bail us out of a bunch of games. The fact that they've been anything less than amazing has deterred a lot of people. We must give them credit though, they're holding their own.
  14. I will fess up to ruling the offseason signings as disappointing. I don't think they are failures, and don't think we should trade them already. But the fact that they are underperforming is one of the main problems. That so called "dream team" that was popular a few years ago across the world of sports and inculded the 2011 Red Sox quickly went off the grid as soon as GMs and Owners in all leagues realized that it doesn't work. I think that was Ben's underlying goal, to build a dream team, whether he was even aware that that was what e was doing or not.
  15. Well, I had the Mookie avatar first. Looks like I'll have to go back to Holt.
  16. In a word, my answer is no. Although I'm really not going to like it if the AL starters are the Kansas City Royals and Mike Trout.
  17. So... I guess the Blackhawks are the new Giants, although they won 3 in 6 years, not five.
  18. Seems like our standard kind of luck. He was involved in the trade for Porcello.
  19. Even though I think this is mainly on Farrell, against my best desires, I must say that Cherington really screwed up when he put this rotation together. He paid way too much for Ross and Masterson, and signed Miley for too long of a time period. Ross has been decent this year, at least by my standards, but the fact that we gave away Ranaudo for him makes it worse. They are rather similar, so Ross was a waste of money.
  20. Yep. I agree. I still think that this team is way too talented to be this bad.
  21. Where was this version of AJ last year?
  22. Which for me, would be a sad reality. I know it will happen with the plethora of OF we have, but Ortiz has been our DH for as long as I can remember. It's like the whole Jeter thing. Staples of my childhood, they both have had a huge influence on how I play the game, and have both been great role models to kids. When Ortiz does hang them up, I don't know what I'll do. Hopefully it's when I'm in college, meaning I'll be too busy.
  23. I come down for one inning, taking a break from studying for finals, and I watch that inning that completely epitomizes 2015. Good bye.
  24. Is Dave O'Brien calling the game? He usually does Monday Night games, and I can't imagine him trashing the Sox.
