  1. Yes. The math teacher strikes again. Hopefully, by this time next year, I'll have her number. I'm taking AP Calc and AP Stats in the fall.
  2. Wow... Some of those are the ones I look at... Maybe I'm not remembering it right... Now I feel stupid.
  3. Way to hit the nail on the head here, man. It was aggravating to watch many of those games, knowing how capable the offense was of great things. The lack of offense on nights with good pitching was what killed me the most.
  4. And who would that be exactly (just out of curiosity)? The sources that I usually seek before the season didn't have them in first, and the highest was 2nd. Everyone else was saying a solid third, not expecting the pitching to be what it has been. I believe they had the Rays in last, for lack of offense, and Jays in 4th, for a known lack of pitching.
  5. I agree with you about the offense. In this two week stretch or so, the offense has begun to wake up. We're 15-9 since June 15, and 10-5 since June 26. Most of those games, it's been the offense leading the way. I wouldn't go so far as to say that the pitching is at a level that I'm comfortable with, but it's definitely better than it was in the middle of May. Everyone's heating up, and we're getting Pedey back now, right after the break. I think it is crucial that we get a pitcher at the deadline. Buchholz won't be gone for too long. If our offense can keep us going for that time, I think we'll be able to move out of last place, when Buchholz, E-Rod, and Hamels (let's be honest, we have a much higher chance at getting Hamels then Cueto) all come together in early August. Plus, I think Miley's been respectable. He needs to stay out his own head, which is his biggest flaw, and a question mark moving forward. Other than that, I think this team looks good. If possible, although it's not the first priority, I would like to see another hitter be pursued at the deadline. Maybe someone like a first basemen, for Nap, of course. Justin Bour on the Marlins sticks out at me.
  6. I don't care what anybody says. I'm content with where we are at the break. I mean, where 6.5 out of a playoff spot. Buch's not going to be gone for that long. I will say, however, that if we don't play well on this road trip to LA and Houston next week, I will start to doubt it. But, right now, the offense has been there. That's the difference since May, when we were in the middle of the bad stretch. I feel that the offense will definitely save us a few games in the meantime. Then, Buch gets back, and the goal is that we will still be buyers, and go out and get a Hamels or Cueto.
  7. Well, you gave me a scare this week, but my amazing offense was the difference, like it has been so many times before. I'm excited now, because I'm that much closer to winning the regular season and the 3/4 of the total purse that comes with it.
  8. It was nice to see the crowd completely on his side. But yeah, he's the Tiger Woods of tennis, minus the awful reputation that Tiger gave himself.
  9. Good. Shaw's in here for Nap.
  10. It's Connecticut Day! It's fitting too. It's a real split down here between Sox and Yankee fans.
  11. That's actually a really good fit for him, and it forms a solid top 3... Assuming Holt still gets regular playing time.
  12. I'm hyped for this game, as always, but I'm also hyped for my game later on today. As of late, I've been the best hitter on an otherwise disappointing team. Went 2 for 3 yesterday, 1 for 2 on Thursday.
  13. Maybe because your lineup has more lefties than a good day at Ned Flanders' Leftorium store
  14. I'd go as far to say that he's been the most consistent starter we have, minus Eduardo.
  15. Please. I could have caught that. I caught something close to that on Thursday in my game.
  16. He's got a massive crush on Refsnyder
  17. Mooooooooooooookie Madness It takes skill to get to third there.
  18. I hate those things. I was ecstatic when my town finally got rid of them for my youth league in the 3rd grade.
  19. I always thought that the manager interviews that FOX does were a waste of the time.
  20. As long as we're winning, I don't give a f***.
  21. I completely agree. I think bad defense is a good trade for super strength. Reminds me of Manny.
  22. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas Hanley!!!!!!!
  23. Harold thinks E-Rod's delivery is a balk. Hey, Harold, you're a balk
  24. We won't have to if we grab a lead. Working the count may help us get there.
