    I know this is a business in all, but when I found out about the Victorino trade, the kid inside of me cried. Defensively, I modeled a lot of what I carry with me now in the outfield from what I saw from him in 2013. It still wasn't as much emotion that I showed when I heard about the Lester trade last year when I was away at camp.

    Well, many out there say that our farm is the best out there. All we need is an ace or two.

    Clippard going to the Mets really screws me over. Now I need closers again. Anyone willing to deal in exchange for some offense?

    This is the kind of game I thought we would have more of this season. The offense goes wild, taking the spotlight away from the terrible pitching.

    So what was the official diagnosis for Holt? I see he's out of the lineup tonight, so it must be pretty serious.

    If that's true, their FO is stupider than ours. They spent the whole winter building a "dream team," which as we've found out, does not work in the slightest. They're going to eat so much money from all of these contracts if they trade guys like Upton, Kimbrel, even Kemp.

    So, I have at least a 2 game lead over everyone with 7 weeks to play. I can smell that $120...

    If we can take things step by step, one series at a time, we can build some momentum. Just win the series. That's all I'm looking for. I don't expect us to come all the way back, but I would like something to watch until football season.

    So, I'm watching this game, the 1st game I've watched since the ASG. I guess I should watch every game again, the way the offense has been going tonight.

    I just want to jump on someone's bandwagon. There can't be two underdogs in the WS. In thinking something like Astros-Dodgers or Pirates-Angels. But what I THINK it will be is Angels-Cardinals.

    Might I inform you that last year, Sports Illustrated picked the Astros to beat the Cubs in the 2017 World Series?

    I used to watch Sportsnation all the time when he was on it, but he was biased towards his teams, and bashed everyone else to no extent. Even as a kid, I knew that he was "a bad guy."

    And then a few days later, Pedro gets into the Hall, only 2nd Dominican ever. You guys must have been partying today.

    There's a guy named Laurence Leavy, a.k.a. Marlins Man. When he's not at Marlins game with his season tickets, he's traveling across the country attending the biggest sports events. He became famous at last year's WS, when his bright orange Marlins jersey and Marlins visor, the same outfit he always wears, stuck out among the Royal Blue of KC fans. Since then, he's sat courtside at the NBA Finals, and Miami Heat games, rink side at Stanley Cup Finals games, and was there to see American Pharoah win the Triple Crown. But his main goal this season is to sit behind the plate at every single Sunday Night Baseball game. After being in LA last week, he was in DC on Monday, then in NYC for 4 days (2 Yankee games, 2 Mets games), and was supposed to be in Boston yesterday, but got held up. But he's here tonight.

    ESPN says that we're still in the Hamels sweepstakes. According to them, Dodgers and Rangers are favorites, but Cubs, Yanks, Giants, and Sox are in the running.

    Two things: 1. Pitching a no-no for the league's worst team six days before the deadline is an indication of just how much Hamels wants out... It will certainly intensify the slobbering over him 2. Those two catches by Herrerra looked like a play I would make, except I wouldn't slip. I would just lay out, even if I didn't need to.

    Maybe my mojo should be at more games... I am touring BU in August, so we'll see if I can snag one more game this season.

    Good game tonight.. I followed it on my phone when I got home. Put a couple more wins together, and I'll get hooked to the TV again.

    At least Verlander's mediocre this year. I've been busy playing baseball, don't think that I'm giving up on this team!!!! I have stopped watching games though.

    If you want a quick win streak, give me a holler. I've been known to do magical things this year when called upon.
