    Somethings will never change around here like his bullying and fightings vs other posters. The list is endless. This is the first thread I read since I arrived to my place, and 2 pages were enough to realise that this guy was involved in another fight... again, as I said it is hilarious at this point.

    The funny thing is that most of the board agree in saying that he was overpaid. On the other hand some are saying that he worth 20 M the last couple of years and likely will worth this contract for the next four Y... So if he worth 20 M the last couple of years and will likely worth this contract for the next four, why people still saying that he was overpaid? haha

    Wonder how many teams would be willing to pay that contract (80/4) next offseason, if Porcello ends up posting an ERA of 4.3 and 2.7 WAR.

    Once again, you are not getting the point Bell. The reason I put Kershaw in that mix was because I rather pay a high AVV in a mid/long term to young players who have great stuff. Porcello is not even close in that mix I mentioned.

    I don't think you are getting the point Bell. Why would you throw in a Y what a No. 1 makes in a Y basis to a guy who wasn't/isn't/won't be a No 1. For the next 4 Y?

    The difference speaks volumes about the kind of pitchers they are, and I do not have problem with that commitment since he is probably the best pitcher around arguably for the next 10 Y . Also, what is the NPV of that contract? On the other hand, when I see Porcello's contract mostly when you look at the Y basis, makes me puke.

    Yup, but I meant in a AVV basis. 20 M pay check/ Y belongs in the Group you mentioned. Also, even in his prime years as you are suggesting, I do not see Porcello earning that money, but that's me of course.

    Yup, but Porcello is not in that elite group by any means, even if he borns again. In my book he is 2 floors downstairs at least, probably 3.

    Bingo! To me doesn't make sense to throw 20 M /Y for the next 4 Y to a pitcher who has not shown that potential yet even with all the GB, young, FiP, WAR, etc rethoric thing. As you said, wouldn't it be more prudent wait at least 12 starts or something at least?

    Where did I say that get injured by a freaking play have something to do with durability? I'll wait. Secondly, I'm free to make an offer (whatever it is) and you are free to accept it or refuse it. A couple of posters already accepted my offer. I think that they thought it was pretty fair otherwise why did they accept this? I like to bet money. You like to bet Sigs. No problem. Do you still want to bet your sig under my conditions?
