  1. It’s ineptitude. They are horrible projecting injury prone players and not only that. They love to resign and extend them, and when they are finally “healthy,” they release them like Sale.
  2. Yeah, one is an efficient and well run team and the other an inept one.
  3. The Rays have a $109,993,601 payroll. The Red Sox have a $98,500,000 payroll on the IL or AAA. Yet Breslow still has a job. We are run by inepts.
  4. Will this team be the worst in Sox history? I don’t see them winning 60 games and my memory doesn’t help much but this is for sure the worst offense I’ve ever seen.
  5. Between Brayan Bello and Kristian Campbell, the Red Sox have $125 million in guaranteed money hanging out in Worcester. We are run by inepts.
  6. IMHO Bello was pitching well with an opener. I still don’t understand why, but he was pitching good going like this. Instead of keeping what was working (until it doesn’t), they send him down. I’m not a Bello supporter at all but this is going to tax even more his confidence and probably will finish for once and for all his pathetic career. Seriously, they need to use more common sense and less their “super complicated stats.”
  7. If they were the Rays, the Dodgers, the Brewers, the Braves or among few others who evaluate and develop their system correctly I could understand the extensions, but man we are a mess. We are run by inepts. Wonder how they are justifying the Bello, Campbell and even the Anthony extensions these days. Not to mention some key FA signings and the trades.
  8. Not sure what else they need to see to realize he cannot handle the first inning.
  9. Somehow they found the “formula” for Bello yet they do (again) what actually doesn’t work which is giving him the start. He can’t start a game for whatever reason. They still don’t get it. I’ll keep saying, we are run by a bunch of inepts, who pretend being baseball geeks. I’m still wondering why Breslow still has a job.
  10. IMO they are done this season. Anthony is out and probably for the season and not sure how Crochet will come back. Whitlock is also already in IL already. Mayer is not hitting. Narvaez has regressed badly. Rafaela, Abreu and Contreras while good are not elite in my book. Duran while is improving, he’s still chasing fastballs above the zone. We still don’t have a legit 2nd baseman. Story is out and even if he returns I don’t expect anything from him. Gasper is a good discovery and IFK is a good story but who knows how much this is going to last especially IKF. Yoshida is an automatic groundout hitter. One struggling expensive bat won’t fix this anyways. Time to give most of the ABs to the youngsters including Campbell and sell all your “good” veteran assets to get something good in return.
  11. As I said, one thing is what rankings say and another what you actually project when you see them in minors everyday. Clearly they projected that Campbell and Mayer will be better than Meidroth. IMO it won’t be the case. Time will tell though, but thus far Meidroth has been the winning horse. And yes, probably giving up Campbell/Mayer instead would have meant keeping Teel or Montgomery as well.
  12. I get it, but that was not my point. My point all along was trading Campbell instead. I don’t see Campbell taking another AB again at MLB level in Red Sox uniform, and if so, performing well. Hopefully I’m dead wrong though.
  13. I’ve been betting on CHW often lately and have had the opportunity to watch him. I love this kid. Man, kid will often give you a quality AB making the pitcher work at the very least. I appreciate that a lot from a hitter. IMO the CHW have found their 2B of the future.
  14. Also if Sogard had been Meidroth he would have been our titular 2B in the last 3 years.
  15. I don’t think you are following me pal. Rankings can say whatever they want what matters is how you evaluate and project your players. It’s early but I think they didn’t rank and project them well.
  16. Right now? I’d rather Meidroth over Sogard, Mayer, and Campbell every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Probably an unpopular opinion but that’s me, and I would bet to anybody that Meidroth will be the better player when all is said and done than any of the latter. Also why are you bringing Crochet to the discussion? It has nothing to do with the discussion.
  17. Because Mayer and Campbell were better ranked at the time.
  18. Imagine having Meidroth as well and at 2B.
  19. Sadly, that’s probably correct.
  20. Digging into Meidroth’s numbers, kid is more than solid. Last 15 days is OBPing 370 and with 5 HRs already. We would be praising him right now if he was here.
  21. I don’t think you are seeing the point pal.
  22. We are that fcked, but good for him, and hopefully he keeps going although he will regress sooner than later IMO. Who else pal?
