    Hi SH. Several people thought that this staff (aside Price, of course), was good enough to compete last year. They even thought that it was a good strategy going like that. Well, it was one of the worst ratations in Red Sox history, I bet. Aside Price (and E-Rod who is not healthy, and still I have to see the kid pitch more, and Wright who is encouraging but still a big ?) we have the same garbage. Yeah, it is still early, but we basically have the core we got last year (Buck No2, Porcello No3, Kelly No. 4), which again, it's garbage. Hopefully I'm wrong and they prove me wrong.

    Well, I couldn't say it better Spud. Hopefully DD rebuilds -somehow and soon- the mess that Ben left regarding pitching. Price is a good start but at this point we need a No2 and a No3. E-Rod is a nice promise but still a promise who needs to stay healthy, first.

    I didn't have the opportunity to watch the game but seems like Wright had a great day, unfortunately our offense didn't show off today.

    Again, no one is saying that he is a 6.0 ERA pitcher, because he is not. He is a 4.4 ERA career pitcher who has increased dramatically his HR/FB% since 2014 and looks like 2013 actually (which worries me), but that's not the point. The point is that his recent performance, (ST and this first start is not encouraging), in order to think that he is going to improve what he did in 2015. Some still think that his 2014 numbers or even more is his potential, I still think that it was a fluke year. Take away his best and worst years and you will figure out what Porcello really is. We'll see though.

    ST and this first start, my friend. Hopefully we are dead wrong, though. As you said, he needs to improve his command/location. His FB/HR% worries me.
