  1. Thanks man. Well, I try to do my best, sometimes I do it well and sometimes not that much, but most of times I think you guys understand me
  2. 2013 was great and I won't take away credit to anyone here, but when you are in the middle of 3 bad seasons, not mediocre, very horrible with one of the highest payrolls in baseball, it suggests me that 2013 was kind of a fluke year (stars aligned or whatever you want to call it) than anything else. As I said, thanks for 2013, it was great but we have to move on.
  3. ... and LOB%? 79%.
  4. Wonder if Keuchel is for real going forward. His GB% and BABIP are ridiculous, 64%, 0.229.
  5. Well, all around the globe it is the language of business, that is for sure.
  6. Correct. They have made a lot moves that these days look horrible. Probably the Moncada deal will work out, but who knows... We are paying prime money for unproven young kids (Although Castillo is not a kid in my book) who are supposedly to have prime talent. Castillo is not remotely near to Puig thus far and some compared them.
  7. Yeah!, and I really appreciate it, Spud. When I signed on this board a couple of years ago, my intention was to write, debate and learn more about my beloved baseball team, and at the same time practice my english a little bit, since nobody here speaks it. As I said, It is hard to practice it around here (Mexico) and a foreign language which is not practiced goes directly to the oblivion, so this board has helped me not only to practice it but learn some slangs (like "s***ing the bed") that you guys use which btw I find really funny LOL!.
  8. I remember that ST when JBJ had a big time and all the media and fans loved him. I was in that wagon, who wasn't?. I know that ST means s***, but I remember that he showed great discipline, arm, defense, fundamentals, running skills and the only doubt at the time was if he could develop his power and become a five tool player. It is crazy how the times have changed for him. I still have faith on him, hopefully he can come back.
  9. Thanks Spud for the correction.
  10. Seems like you were right, this offense was going to start hitting since the talent is there, eventually. On the other hand this pitching staff is killing this team big time.
  11. Well, I said that Porcello was a mistake since day one as well. They not only traded him but threw him 80 M without a single pitch in red sox uniforme man, 80 f***ing M for this garbage. I'm done with their incompetence, the culture of losing has to end already. For this reason and a lot of other bad decisions that have taxed us in the last 3/4 years, this FO has go. Let them take their bad luck and enigmas somewhere else.
  12. We can split the numbers all day long, by player, month, weeks, etc., thing is that all those bad performances (included Buch, ERod) already taxed us to the point that this pitching staff is one of the worst in baseball these days, and unfortunately as some us predicted, it seems to be already too late to save this s***** season.
  13. Thing is that it is not a good enough/mediocre rotation or whatever you want to call it since day 1. This is a collection of very bad pitchers. Some of us have rest our cases to support this since day 1. We were told that our analysis were death wromg. Time is giving us reason, unfortunately. If you thought that this was a good enough/mediocre pitching staff, that's up to you sk, but I did not drink that kool-aid at all, this is a horrible pitching staff since day 1. This is probably the worst pitching staff not only of the last 10 Y but of the history of this franchise.
  14. It is not mediocre, it is one of the worst in all baseball.
  15. Offenses will never be the same, the steroids era is done. Also he has proved that he has succeed in the AL, in different kind environments and facing all kind of offenses, specially in our division. As Pal said, his numbers are still oks and with an outstanding K/9. He and Lester definitely would have been nice additions, and this team would have had a different face this year.
  16. He has pitched in all kind of environments. The sample is considerable. He has pitched in Tex, BAL, CHW, CLE, DET, HOU, LAD, MIN, NYM, etc. and he has pitched pretty good.
  17. Thanks God, Webster is very gone... He still looks like very scared on the mound.
  18. it is not. At the time everybody thought that he was going to sign for something around 100-110. 80 M is a bargain for a guy who has proved to be a No 1 in the AL.
  19. But...But#%^* ... He is a terrible pitcher.
  20. Yeah we are just unlucky, in fact it is still an enigma. LOL!
  21. It's funny, U? was all in for Shields and he/she was even willing to give him 100 M and now Shields is a terrible pitcher. A sea of inconstancies, as always.
  22. Yup, Shields or Lester or keeping Lackey would have been a better approach. As I said in offseason I would have used Panda's, Porcello's and even HR's money if that meant keeping Lackey and singing Lester and Shields.
  23. The pitching enviroment would not be a problem. He is striking out more bats this year. Also, a rotation with Lester, Shields, Lackey, Buch and whoever else, was pretty affordable, and was the kind of rotation I wanted.
  24. If Shields looks terrible in SDP (3.7 ERA/10.4 K/9/3.1 SIERA) how our pitching staff looks like? I just can not find an adjective. Lester and Shields would have kept us in the hunt, there's no reason to go in circles.
  25. ... and do not forget how they shitted the bed with Lester.
