  1. Exactly. He is still a very good pitcher and is not costly.
  2. Seriously, do you think that we are going to trade a young ace? Really? And if so, at what cost?. I do not see that happening. Of course I would like a rotation of young top talent, but again, we are 10 light years from there. Listen, I would sign two solid, durable and proven pitchers, like Lester and Shields. Then I would try to sign another solid No. 3 like Buehrle. The 4-7 would come from the farm/trades/drafts/cheap FA.
  3. I like ERod and all, and hopefully he becomes an ace, but putting him next to Kluber, Arrieta, Archer, etc. it's too early. Also, trying to draft for young aces is a pipedream. Again, this team will have to invest in pitching, otherwise we will see this movie over and over again.
  4. Padres are trying to sell everything. They are done anyways. Shields is a very good pitcher. He is still putting very nice numbers. He is going to be oks and will earn his paycheck, just like Lester.
  5. Exactly. You build a rotation around guys like Scherzer, Lester, Cueto, etc. not ERod. While I like him, he is not Kershew, José Fernandez, DeGromm, etc. and these kind of young talent are untouchables.
  6. Like who and at what price? I do not see teams giving up top young talent, especially pitchers. Since our farm in that regard is not good, we have to spend big bucks in order to get good pitchers, especially durable and consistent, like Lester or Shields . It is what it is.
  7. Kazmir to Houston. Nice move.
  8. Well, if not the worst, it is one of the worst. Thank you my friend. As you said, I saw a very horrible rotation on paper, to the point that it made me think that it could turn into the worst of this franchise.
  9. I wouldn't trade for Hamels at this point. I'd rather try to move Porcello and Panda even if that mean not getting nothing in return; we only need to get rid of those stupid contracts.
  10. This is pretty much what has happened. The results are evident. We are joke. We need a new strategy and direction. Not sure if out there, we can get someone like Friedman or Mozeliak.
  11. I would assemble a rotation (1-3) with guys who have proved consistency and durability in the AL like Lester (No1.) Shields (No2.) Buehrle (No3.) and ERod. (No4). The depth would be from the farm.
  12. If you want to keep Miley as a No. 4-5, fine. We need a No. 1 (25M) No. 2 (20 M) and a No 3. (15 M). You are going to need something around 60 M/Y. Also, you have E Rod. I think it is affordable.
  13. Well, the first thing that you have to do when you fail is recognize where the problem is in order to fix it, otherwise you will fail over and over again. The problem in recent years has been the FO. The plan has failed. The execution has failed. This team is a mess. It has too many flaws and they have taken tons of bad decisions already. First off, rebuild the FO, it is pretty clear that these guys have no idea what they are doing. Then invest in good pitching, at least two. Enough is enough. Try to get rid of Porcello and Miley. Say goodbye to Buch. Send Kelly to the BP. Regarding the offense, Papi, Napoli and Vic are goners. Try to get rid of Panda and Castillo. Try to trade Pedroia and see if you can get something valuable. Rebuild this already.
  14. It's not their fault, they are excellent pitchers, it is pitching coach's fault or probably an enigma LOL!
  15. The more I see Kelly the more it hurts how STL's GM ate Ben's lunch. Another reason of why he has to go.
  16. I said that this could be the worst pitching staff in the last 10 Y, and while I do not recall making a W% projection, it speaks volumes.
  17. So, can we keep betting our sig? It will be a pleasure, I could do it year after year. LOL!
  18. It's time to stop drinking that kool aid. The plan was death wrong since day 1... results have spoken, again.
  19. Furthermore, asaide 2013, when was the last time we won a PO game?
  20. Both words are kind of the same. I think that the second definition explains pretty well what I'm trying to say LOL! Anyways... the 2016 offseason thread should've been begun already, we were already done several weeks ago.
  21. That too but mostly susceptibilities haha This is what I found about. n. pl. sus·cep·ti·bil·i·ties 1. The quality or condition of being susceptible. 2. The capacity to be affected by deep emotions or strong feelings; sensitivity. 3. susceptibilities Sensibilities; feelings.
  22. I was tempted to start the 2016 offseason thread some weeks ago, but I didn't want to hurt susceptibilities LOL.
  23. On paper this was a very unbalanced team. I said that over and over again. I even predicted the worst rotation in the last 10 years lead by Rick "easy money" Porcello.
