  1. Shields has had a great season thus far. His current ERA is over 4 because his last start was simply a very bad day. Before his last start his ERA was at 3.03. Also I had the opportunity to watch him pitch sometimes. In some games he pitched like an ace. In others not like an ace but very solid--No.1&2 type. He could be a decent No. 2 or at very least, a solid 3 who can keep his ERA under 4, easily -- his track record before last game back up this. On the other hand I'm not sure what would it take to land Shields. IMO it won't take that much. If you don't want Shields, who do you want? A top-young-controlled arm like Syndergar or Carrasco? LOL! Keep dreaming, It's not gonna happen and if so be prepared to deforest the whole farm. His profile is oks to me. Also, our major problem is the BP IMO. Aside Kimbrel, no one is reliable.
  2. Yeah my sister was there a couple a years ago and loved the park, and she doesn't understand anything about baseball LOL! Also, my brother and my other sister often go to Chicago and they love the city. Definitely I have to go.
  3. Koji is officially done.
  4. Another park I would like to go is Wrigley in Chicago seems like the atmosphere is great as well, but I'd like to go when the Red Sox play there. Probably this year in the WS? Imagine that. LOL!
  5. IMO the best league. I root for a local team. The team of my birth City, Veracruz; Los Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz. Outside Mexico I like La Bella señora de Turín, La Juventus. Regarding my first major league game it was last year. It was at Yankee Stadium. Boston won. It was one of my greatest expiriences ever. Loved the environment. You can see a lot of families, thing that these days is hard to see in fútbol games in Mexico or South America for instance. After that series in NY I went to the home opener game against the Nationals in Fenway. We won as well. Then I went to a couple games against BAL after the series against WSN, and we won as well LOL!. I was very lucky, we won in all the games I went. The environment in Boston is just spectacular. A lot of beautiful women in both parks LOL!. I will try to go in August again, but this time with my wife and little baby. Last year I went with my best friend who lives in Boston and his girlfriend and a couple of friends of her. I had the opportunity to visit several bars outside Yankee stadium and Fenway park as well. It's worth to mention that I made a lot of friends LOL! People in NY and Boston were very nice with me. I also had the opportunity to visit several restaurants, Btw in both cities you can find great rest. Definitely is a must go every year.
  6. Yeah that's true but I think that your soccer fan base has incremented in recent years. I recall seeing a lot of fans from the US rooting for their team in Brasil in the last World Cup. But yeah, the passion is quite different regarding soccer outside the USA.
  7. In other order of ideas, Messi could go to jail. Messi says that he just plays soccer and he doesn't know anything about his taxes. He says that he left those issues to his father and the firm his father apparently hired. Lamentable.
  8. Well, soccer could be a great one as well in that department. A lot of history and folklore is there as well.
  9. LOL! Really? Wow! Well, the worst thing is to argue with an ignorant who defends his/her nonsense.
  10. I read that he was exploring something with Toronto --Enacarnación/Bautista. On the other hand, I haven't read something regarding pitching moves. I bet he is considering it as well, mostly after this disaster.
  11. Good for you compadre. This was really frustrating to watch. Porcello inevitably is regressing to what his career numbers say. Would you wait until TDL to make a move?
  12. Send him down or something and put Kelly there.
  13. Well at least we made the 7 Runs I predicted but we couldn't win.
  14. Horrible baserunning by Young.
  15. I'd do it. In a heartbeat. We need pitching badly. Can't believe that we don't have anybody ready --- Owens is not the answer.
  16. Who is this guy Ramirez? Batting Practice.
  17. Agree. Bleeding has to stop.
  18. Hopefully DD is cooking some trades.
  19. This BP is collapsing, ugly.
  20. Doubt it. We still have a lot of games against ALE teams.
  21. Already. A SP and 2 relievers.
  22. Seems like Farrell isn't making his homework.
  23. ... and the HR parade continuous.
  24. It is actually at 4 right now. And it will be a very big deal if he keeps giving a lot of HRs. Wonder what is his ERA against ALE teams.
