LOL! ERA estimators are meaningless in short samples, but if you like ERA estimators xfip and SIERA can tell you what kind of pitcher is James Shields. Last year he was a 3.7 SIERA/xFIP pitcher. He is 3.6 SIERA/xfip pitcher after 9 years, but if you like FIP he is 3.8 at it.
Also, I said that he was pitching like an ace, because... Well he pitched like an ace today.
Anyways, I'd rather Shields than any of our current staff no named Price, right now in our team.
