  1. Cameron... one of the reasons for his s***** play in the field and in the batters box has almost certainly been from the pain of an abdominal tear.
  2. RWTP24 and italstallianion and I'm sure your posts were equally nice.
  3. Well sucks to be him.
  4. Hermida is a bench player, a journeyman OFer, he's not starting lineup quality. He's already had the chance to prove himself over his entire career and he's proved his worth is in coming off the bench.
  5. Oh Great! and yesterday they were saying Ellsbury may need to go on the DL because his ribs just aren't healing.
  6. I personally think it would be great for baseball if the Royals were able to win anything.
  7. AWESOME!!! Thanks yeszir.
  8. Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I was just wondering if there was a way to put a poster on ignore. I know, I know I should be grown-up enough to just scroll, scroll but it's the same pyschosis as slowing down to see an accident. The ignore button is like taking a different route. You're not going to go out of your way to see the accident, you'll only look if you're already heading in that direction. If it's obvious where the ignore button is, I apologize, I've looked but can't find anything. Thanks in advance.
  9. It's stupid two weeks into the season. Chill.
  10. OH! So damned close.
  11. These threads are hilarious, I'm sorry this is the first I've had a chance to read.
  12. Thanks yeszir and right back atcha... Guys, Epstein isn't going to allow this team to stand pat if they continue to play like this for another month. On paper this is a good team, so far they are not living up to their potential. You do not make drastic changes to a team after 10 games because of slumps. You also don't take veterans out of the lineup without giving them a chance to get their s*** together - if you do then you destroy morale and end up with a team of slumpers out of sheer nerves. You probably also blow your chance at a good season by a veteran that just had a slow start. And you end up spending the rest of the season chasing your ass with both hands trying to find enough guys not slumping to fill a line-up. Ball players are headcases and good managers know how to work with that. There's a reason no fan has ever been promoted to manager, it's because GM's aren't retarded. It's a long season and there are going to be awesome streaks and hideous slumps. We'll all survive.
  13. I'm sorry Lester, now it's only a one run game. Hang in there - I'm sure they won't pull it out.
  14. See what did I tell you Jason, you almost ruined Lester's night.
  15. Jason don't try to shed any happiness on the bitching, it'll spoil the ambience.
  16. Hate it all you want BigPapiEnFuego but you are over reacting and it's too early in the season to discuss making wholesale changes. This team doesn't look any worse than last April. The Defense has been abysmal but like hitting slumps, defensive slumps can be contagious. These guys didn't forget how to play defense just because they put on Red, it will improve. There has been up and down pitching (the biggest concern before the season and still is the bullpen) but if you look at tonight's game - Sox pitching has only given up one earned run against a damned good team. You guys are going to give yourselves strokes - and then you'll look pretty stupid in June trying to cheer for the .600 team around your breathing tubes. Lighten up, you'll live longer and enjoy it more. Question for the masses... how many of you pushing the panic button have been fans only since 2004 and/or are under 25? ... and if this team is only playing .500 ball in a month, then we can be concerned and you can damn well guarantee Epstein will be trading a kidney to improve the team
  17. Is anyone still watching the game?
  18. th People put so much effort into overreacting. I wish there was some way to capture all this wasted energy - fuel crisis > solved. Oh and JimEd.. it was Beltre that hit into the double play that killed the inning. And then it was Cameron that committed the error in inning one of tonight's scheduled game. Seriously.. anyone that thinks ONE player makes or breaks a team .... and I won't finish that sentence because I like posting here.
  19. Ortiz just hit the ball well again. That's a good sign.
  20. It's already over for me. With 162 a year, it's just way to hard to get too wrapped up in one in April.
  21. so should we call NHSoxFan Mike... it does look a bit suspicious.
  22. still a "knee-jerk" reaction.. but I get the feeling that's normal on game night.
