  1. Of course it will get us nowhere - and that's not conjecture. LOL nor the fact that I disagree with your disagreement of my disagreeing isn't either.
  2. I deleted my post by accident trying to edit throw. Now I'm the dumbass.
  3. and then there are the people that argue about people choosing one stat over the other and that only certain people can do that - it's all conjecture.
  4. Except those statistics are usually trumped by other statistics and the conjecture is which are the more relevant statistics.
  5. As is nearly everything that's posted on this board.
  6. I read your post Dipre. Frankly I'm just tired of reminding people of the calendar. I'm going to let them figure it out for themselves. Beltre didn't win two gold gloves with his winning smile.
  7. Warren, welcome to the board. May your optimistic wisdom rub-off.
  8. Hyperbole will get you nowhere.
  9. Demanding a sweep, or it's a joke, of any team in MLB at any time is a bit unrealistic. The worst team in baseball is going to win at least 60 games in a year.
  10. He's acting like he did last Spring until he got fed up with sucking.
  11. Gom, Dice-K may well end up in the pen, or on the DL. Wake will be starting again by June - at the latest.
  12. They've announced Wakefield's death before. I'm not convinced.
  13. Tim Wakefield's march to Red Sox records will be difficult to attain if he remains in the bullpen. (AP) Is this how it ends for Tim Wakefield? By Kirk Minihane at WEEI.com "Terry Francona was not talking before or after the game, but a report from Rob Bradford Thursday night indicated that Wakefield would be the odd man out of the Red Sox rotation when Daisuke Matsuzaka makes his return from the disabled list." http://www.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/red-sox/kirk-minihane/2010/04/22/end-tim-wakefield
  14. It's just goofy, too goofy even for the Red Sox. Every team in baseball wants Buccholz. If the Sox believed there wasn't room for him under the BigTop, they'd trade him for a bat - not ship him off to the minors, where there's nothing for him to learn and he'd be useless.
  15. It's time for Lester to step it up. Spring has sprung - time to put on the big girl panties and pitch like a man. Sorry but just typing that cracked me up.
  16. All I've heard is that Wake is going to the pen. I've never heard even a joke rumor (except here) that Buccholz was going to AAA.
  17. I think the big question is SHOULD Francona sit Ortiz for good... and my answer would be NO! Big Papi's not done yet. I would platoon him and have him only hit against righties, for the time being, but it's way too early to start digging a 6 foot deep hole.
  18. Somehow I think amount of runs given up depends more on pitchers than catchers. Yeah I know, now I'm just talking crazy!

  20. I just hope the kid doesn't strike out 4 times and knock out Pedroia going after a "tweener".
