Dice-K will be ready for the start of the season. Wakefield probably will break down at some point and need some time off during the season. Someone else will have soreness that needs to be rested or a pulled groin or a blister and miss a start. It's why the truest adage in baseball is "you can't have too much pitching". The Sox pitching staff is deep. Many here have a far darker view of our offense than I do.
I think our starting pitching is top-notch - maybe the best in the AL, our hitting above average, our defense will be in the top 3 in the AL and our bullpen - ok, maybe a problem, have to wait and see. This is a good team and I'm expecting another 95+ season.
Guys, every spring training there are a list of bumps and bruises (and sore backs). It's fine, nothing new here and injuries are a part of the game. There will be many this season and we'll cope. Even with re-tread starting pitchers last year the Sox won 95 and made it to the post-season. I wanted more but that doesn't exactly suck.
