    This is a pretty critical game. Losing here will put the Red Sox into last place in the AL East, as they'll go into a brutal away trip against the Yankees and Tigers. I just hope the Red Sox front office doesn't get arrogant here.

    I've been wondering the same thing. Maybe they don't want to waste his options? Or maybe they feel it is too soon to cramp the other catchers.

    He had a rough game against Chicago, but I don't think he's done anything that is bad enough to pull him. It isn't like he's getting light up-- his starts are usually around 6 innings with 3-4 runs. Definitely mediocre, but they can't give up on him.
