What a dumb thing to do. With big money contracts you're paying for the player's prime years with the later years. They only paid 33 million for the first two years, got the best out of him, and could have dumped his 4/100 contract for ages 34-38 onto the Dodgers. If the Dodgers were dumb enough, they might have gotten a prospect or two out of the deal.
