  1. Its almost as if the Red Sox are so unused to slow fastballs in the center-center of the plate that they don't know what to do with them.
  2. 84 MPH right down the center of the plate, no swing. Glad Vic made up for it on the next pitch.
  3. Why does this team always disappear against awful pitching?
  4. This ump is very inconsistent, and isn't calling a whole lot of strikes on the corners.
  5. Can someone remind me why Doubront isn't pitching tonight?
  6. Two pitches dead center for Nava, and he didn't do anything with them. Ugh.
  7. Depends on if Aceves makes it one more time through the order.
  8. If there was ever a guy to hit, and a guy to hit him, it would be Davis and Aceves.
  9. Aceves with some good defense of his own.
  10. When Ortiz returns, this offense will have a totally different feel to it.
  11. Andddddd.... Pedroia apparently realizing that he's NOT the best defensive player on the team right now.
  12. Pedroia apparently realizing that he's the best defensive player on the team right now.
  13. Carl Crawford 2011 and 2012. 162 games. .1 WAR Carl Crawford 2013. 8 games. .7 WAR. f*** that guy.
  14. Maybe their planning board is very different than your planning board:lol:
  15. It isn't just the concussion. He was hit in the head on March 7th, and pretty much lost out on spring training. He basically replaced the majority of his spring training ABs with 13 AB in AA, where he had exactly two hits.
  16. I wasn't necessarily replying to you. I just think its dumb to bring up a player who had no spring training to move down a player on a hot streak.
  17. Whether he's historically been healthy or not, bringing Drew up for the game today was simply a bad decision. The guy lost most of spring training with concussion symptoms, and instead of giving him more time to let him adjust to minor league pitching, they let him take his spring training in the majors. And he goes 0-4.
  18. Hanrahan struck McLouth out twice. Both pitches were on the edges. I don't understand why we still need umpires judging balls and strikes-- they are completely irrelevant in that endeavor. The only value they serve is ruining games, and give the Yankees a special strike zone. There is a box, and the pitch is going to be inside that box, or outside. Both of those pitches were inside it. Barely, sure, but both were.
  19. Two brutal "ball" calls, and the game ends.
  20. And THAT is why you make defensive substitutions in the 9th.
  21. Come on Hanrahan, you're looking at the bottom of the lineup.
  22. Just two more, two more.
  23. Daniel Nava... the new Sexy Beast of the team?
