  1. Middlebrooks = insane.
  2. Players always do that for no-hitters and perfect games, but I've never seen it for shutouts before.
  3. I just don't see any way for the Red Sox to send Iggy down. Normally its a big enough challenge when a player is white-hot at the plate, but when you have to look at what elite value he provides defensively on top of that, they definitely have a challenge in front of them.
  4. Everyone is keeping about 10 feet of space between themselves and Jon Lester. Do players do that for shutouts now too?
  5. Bautista is a phenomenal hitter, but he sure gets injured a lot. You would think he'd just ask his dealer for some premium hgh to get that stuff taken care of.
  6. I don't remember this at all. There was chiding of some of the Red Sox's pitching decisions, but Dickey was not worth Bogaertz+ Bradley, and everyone knew that from the get go.
  7. I didn't take blame off Farrell, I simply put some of the responsibility on Lackey too.
  8. I just turned this game on, and its almost already in hand! Crazy. The offense dominates, and Lester dominates. Crazy!
  9. In the same way, Lackey should know his arm, and if he felt something, he should have done something about it. I don't know if you noticed during the game, but they had him icing his arm between every inning.
  10. It sounds like the Rockies are going to hang Aaron Harang out there to see if any teams are interested. Might be worth a look.
  11. I was kind of kidding about it being a pitcher's duel, but the score ended up 0-2 for the two pitchers. Crazy:lol:
  12. And sometimes it does tell the whole story:lol:
  13. "He's going to be okay" -- Juan Nieves. Hmmm...
  14. Asked club official Saturday. Said: " Maybe April"
  15. I wonder if Porcello is still available.
  16. Why on earth are they pitching to Reyes? There are 2 outs, and he's going to get on base one way or the other. Edit: Totally jinxed him. Oh well.
  17. Well, we'll always have the last four days.
  18. This has become a game that the Red Sox need to win. Just look at the players in the dugout.
  19. I'm no expert, but that looks like a season-ender.
  20. I've said this before about other players, but I think it bears repeating. This is the kind of game where I would rather Lackey pitch well, and lose the game, than for him to get bombed and they still win. That being said, I'd love to see them win this one
  21. And apparently he's jealous that Jerry went out to dinner with another annoucer:lol:
  22. This team is failing hard with RISP.
  23. All of his pitches are going to the very edges of the strikezone or outside. He's putting a good deal of effort into avoiding meatballs. A lineup with more patience might do a bit more damage to him, but Toronto is swinging away.
  24. That didn't take long.
