  1. I hope this doesn't turn into a slugfest.
  2. And Ortiz comes back next week
  3. LET'S GO RED SOX! *loud noise x5* LET'S GO RED SOX! *loud noise x5* LET'S GO RED SOX! *loud noise x5*
  4. Wait, what? That's only 4 runs. Tito, WTF?
  5. I hope these guys hit hard and early. With the exhaustion of travel and the s*** in Boston, I'd expect this team to struggle tonight.
  6. You only needed one apparently.
  7. Easy one, but I won't spoil it for everyone else.
  8. You've never seen a pair of brothers, where one is tough, and the other is a pussy? That's essentially what the situation is here. Stephen Drew has had exactly one major injury, and very very few minor injuries, so you have no grounds to stand on with this argument.
  9. In all fairness, there are a few pitchers on the A-list that would be the 3rd best pitcher in Philly.
  10. Cespedes is on the DL :/
  11. Was looking at the power rankings today. Apparently everyone on the national level still has the Red Sox outside of the top 10. Hilarious!
  12. In five starts, Lackey gave up 2 ER Dempster gave up 1 ER, and 3 ER. Aceves gave up 2 ER Doubront gave up 3 ER. So, in summary, I think this point is silly.
  13. It would definitely benefit me, so I say yes.
  14. I see it more being about determination, preparation and having a better line of communication with coaches. These guys were in spring training weeks early and working hard to get everything right. Is Buchholz performing any worse than he did the second half of last year? He was lights out in the second half last year, and he's just building off of it. I also think that most of baseball had seen Lester's mechanics and knew there was a problem-- but the coaching staff was such a mess last year that nothing got done with it. That being said, as someone who NEVER liked Farrell here as a pitching coach, he was the right pick for manager here
  15. Someone is not happy about the talk of being overthrown
  16. Its crazy to see a pitcher like Buchholz so disappointed in himself after throwing 8 shutout innings
  17. Losing the no-no is probably the best thing for the team anyway. No sense in ruining the team's best arm.
  18. Ew. First pitch ground out, first pitch ground out, first pitch ground out.
  19. Good AB from Bradley-- 7 pitches to push Cobb over the edge, maybe in the middle of the inning.
  20. So um, can we talk about baseball?
  21. He threw 113 last time out. I don't see any reason not to let him go 120, but any higher would be dangerous with his health concerns.
  22. Right, but that's why its humorous.
  23. The question is, do you go for a team *ahem*, or do you just try to save the pen?
  24. Its really funny how Don keeps emphasizing how many walks Buchholz has given up
