  1. Yu Darvish is 7 innings deep into a perfect game. Just what the Rangers need, one of their best pitchers blowing out his elbow on the second game of the season.
  2. After so many years of a relatively balanced lineup, it just feels weird to have 3-4 righties in a row.
  3. Ah, gotcha. Wrong catcher. Saltalamacchia.
  4. He has in the past, but not over the last two years.
  5. I didn't think I would mind it yesterday, but today it seems cruel that the MLB gave us an off day today.
  6. IMO, the problem isn't whether or not Napoli is a cleanup hitter-- its that they are going to be very vulnerable to right handed pitching without Drew and Ortiz. Their best left handed hitters at this point are Ellsbury, David Ross, Bradley, Nava. Ew.
  7. Cano just fired Boras as his agent. Crazy.
  8. Here's a quality shot of YS in the 9th.
  9. Yankee stadium in the bottom of the 9th: https://twitter.com/Lescarpenter/status/318824922292047872/photo/1 Unfortunately, we all know that after seeing the Yankees do poorly for a year, the organization will spend big this offseason and say screw the luxury tax.
  10. He was doing windsprints without pain recently. I had head late April/Early May, but it could be sooner.
  11. The wind was whipping very hard for the first few batters, and you could see a considerable amount of movement in his uniform. When the wind died down, he looked like a much better pitcher.
  12. It all depends on Kershaw. He might look at the market and realize that absolutely no one of his caliber is hitting the open market for a long time. With numerous aces signing 100 million dollar contracts, it makes his own value go up. He might want to check to see if anyone is willing to give him a A-rod size contract on the open market.
  13. First post. THEEE YANKEEES LOSE. Sorry, had to be done
  14. Personally, I thought he did better than the box score showed. He had one base runner early that Salty dropped a strike 3 call. Then, in the 2 run inning, there was one broken bat hit, two hits that ran right along the foul line, and one hit that hung in the air for a while, but found the rare patch of ground between Vic and Ellsbury. There was also a bunt by Cervelli. He certainly didn't find himself getting smoked all game, that's for sure.
  15. It sucks for the fans, but it works out for the best. The Red Sox get two days to feel like winners, and maybe that'll build some momentum towards Buchholz's start Wednesday.
  16. Forget Tropicana field. There aren't any witnesses in YS right now.
  17. When did Yankee stadium get so empty?
  18. So far, the team looks exactly like the optimists thought it would. Napoli and Miller haven't had particularly solid days, but other players filled in.
  19. Joba Chamberlain looking like a creeper.
  20. Andrew Bailey pitching like its 2010.
  21. This game was very enjoyable until they put Miller in.
  22. Iglesias with a 3 hit day. Craziness.
  23. JBJ does something productive at every opportunity.
