  1. Andy, this lineup has more right handed hitters than last year. Huh, I don't get it.
  2. Last year's lineup was very lefty-heavy. This one is righty-heavy, with the additions of guys like Gomes, Napoli, and Victorino.
  3. I forgot that JA Happ is a lefty. The Red Sox are a team built to beat up on good lefties like Sabathia, Price, etc. But against bad lefties? Happ could look like batting practice.
  4. This is an incredibly important game. Whether Lackey goes out and give 6-7 runs, or 3-4 over 6 innnings will say a good deal about where this team is going. Obviously its one game, but if we see 2010 Lackey, this team will be very good.
  5. In all fairness, JA Happ sucks. I imagine this is one of those games where all logic and reasoning points to it being a slugfest, that turns into a pitcher's duel.
  6. Maybe you should wait for him to have atleast one start first
  7. In all fairness, anyone who posts on this board frequently ends up with beefs with other people. Even VA, who is one of the more amiable people here has some heated arguments from time to time.
  8. Judging by the fact that you're referring to a specific AB, I get the feeling you're a bit biased here
  9. Youkilis quietly having a good series.
  10. Ballsy move by Victorino.
  11. So many empty seats. Again.
  12. Just to be clear, the picks from Beltre got this team Swihart and Jackie Bradley. If someone gives the Sox a good offer on Drew midseason, I'd definitely say take it.
  13. No predictions, just a comment on Dempster. If people want to call him a NL pitcher, fine, but this lineup is worse than most NL lineups.
  14. What the Yankees need to worry about is losing their fanbase. Red Sox Yankee tickets shouldn't be going for $20 on Stubhub, and no stadium should ever be as empty as YS was last night. This is a franchise whose fans have forgotten what it feels like to be a loser, and it doesn't seem like they're going to be particularly tolerant. One of my Yankee friends has already given up on the team and is rooting for the Natonals, appropriate huh?
  15. We learned last year that Dempster does very well against NL lineups. He'll be fine against the No-show Yankees.
  16. Standing alone at the top! Red Sox 2-0 Rays 1-1 Orioles 1-1 Yanks 0-2 Jays 0 -2
  17. So, apparently this series was a must-win. Is it now a must-sweep?
  18. Yankees starter went 1.1 innings. So far, used two relievers. Red Sox starter went 7.0 innings. So far, used two relievers.
  19. Well, we now have a ballgame.
  20. Absolutely. I put him on my fantasy team because I knew it would mean he'll have an awful season.
  21. Andrew Miller has been dangerous the last two games. No control over his pitches at all.
  22. If you replace Cano with Longoria, both lineups would look nearly identical.
  23. Nava with monster OBP again.
