  1. No they aren't, they've just been mediocre, and unable to get on any streak this season. They win 4 or 5 straight and then get swept next time Beckett and Lester pitch, and the offense doesn't support whoever follows. This team is an ace and another reliable starter away from being in the hunt. We didn't make the moves we needed to make.
  2. Or maybe they just don't have very good pitching. Maybe the starting rotation is so bad that the best offense in baseball is two games under .500 because they don't give us a chance. Oh, wait, that's exactly what's happening. MINDf***.
  3. So you apply your own random logic because of losing? Sounds.... Even more irrational. No wonder your handle is "jung".
  4. They let Tito down because of poor performance. The press painted a picture of something that wasn't even there, and you bought into it. Man, those teams in 04 and 07 REALLY let Tito down man! They had to put up with Manny's ******** back then as well.
  5. You are talking completely out of your backside, as is the case with 95% of your posts (psychoanalyzing people you don't know is hilarious, btw). You're trying to connect the dots, but it just sounds kind of irrational to me.
  6. Either way, chemistry is overrated. If your guys are trying to win, it doesn't matter if they hate each other. Baseball players are just like us, but with bigger salaries, cars and talent. Anyone with a job knows that you rarely like everyone you work with, but if your manager is cool, you usually perform your job properly because you don't want to let them down.
  7. lol, didn't read the story eh?
  8. Yeah, you know what happened in this meeting better than someone who was actually there.
  9. Bobby V is a joke. I hope he's run out of town.
  10. Hah, if anything it just shows that the team is united. You seriously think Pedroia's a prima-donna? You're one of those guys who got all bent out of shape over beer and chicken. When you lose respect for your coach, it's impossible to play for them. How did they run Francona out? Last I checked he was fired along with Theo, and I never heard jack s*** of substance that said the players no longer wanted to play for him.
  11. Waaaaaahhhh! Waaaaaaahhhh!
  12. So his PPG is roughly the same when you take into account less minutes? How about assists? Lol, he's been at the same level for the last 3 years. And no, Howard to Bynum is not close, not even in Bynum's career year last year. Howard is a guy who's good for 20/15/3 almost every night. He is a vastly superior defender and rebounder. He is also a proven product.
  13. If you look at it that way, I guess, but 99% of the time a Pats fan says the Giants got lucky, they say it from the darkest, most bitter part of their being. Pateiots fans usually feel entitled to successes.
  14. You sound like a Yankee fan trying to dull the pain of losing the WS. Pats lost, that "Giants got lucky" s*** is very bitter and entitled-sounding. You can say you outplayed them, or whatever, because you can even rlmake an argument with statistics to say that, but to say they were lucky to win is a slap in the face.
  15. Going to start keeping a tally of how much a700 mentions needing 5 runs. It's like listening to a broken record.
  16. Nash is still good, and LOL. You serious? It doesn't require much to look up stats. Howard is better in every important way, significantly, statistically speaking. He is also more dominant, more athletic, and an MVP-type player.
  17. There's no certainty, but as much as I hate the idea of waiting to see what happens next year, and possibly costing us the season if he sucks again, I can't say I disagree with SFF. I can't say I totally agree either, that he's getting back on track. He needs to have a streak of ace-like performances for me to think he's on his way.
  18. You seriously think Beckett holds 50% of the blame for the season's failures? He's an admittedly huge part of it, but he's not even necessarily the biggest problem in the rotation. It's been health, bad starting pitching, inconsistent offense, and poor management that allowed this team to take the field. Salty, as much as I can't stand him, is not a guy to single out either. This has been a team effort in incompetence.
  19. Or maybe you just don't know anything about the team other than what you see on the field. Edit: /mindf***
  20. Valencia? f*** NO. I was hoping I'd be done with having to watch this guy play.
  21. The Heat added some old guy who's going to essentially be like Reggie Miller was late in his career. The Lakers were a contender, and added an elite in Howard, and a great ball-handler in Nash. The West is unreal.
  22. No they aren't. No one I can remember was defending Lackey's poor performance. Maybe a few who realized he wasn't that bad in 2010, but no one defended him in 2011. He's been an ace lately, and Pedro never struggled like that because, for one, he is probably the best pitcher to ever take the mound in his prime. That, and I don't remember him having as many months off as Buchholz had after the injury. He continues to pitch like this and he's an ace.
  23. He's returning from injury early, after such a long time off, I'm not shocked he started poorly. Aces can struggle for periods, too. Buchholz has all of the qualities of an ace aside from durability. I think Jacko's just trying to criticize his consistency without saying the word consistency. Typical subtle ********. Laughable for a guy calling Hughes "like an ace" for a much less impressive string.
