134 OPS+ is well above average for all positions. Mark Teixeira had a 120 OPS+ last year, and a 116 OPS+ this year. He is considered to be a top 1B.

Mauer is not slow, OF or 3B isn't out of the question if you ask me.

Wait, Mauer's declining? Is that what I'm reading? Lol, Target Field destroyed and chance he had at being a home run hitter, plus the near-30 bombs in 2009 was flukey enough. Mauer is a fantastic hitter even without big home run power, and Fenway's gonna have a positive impact on his home run total, if he were to play here. I'm all about this trade.

Not really interested in Ellsbury. I think he's had his peak year already, and Boras is his agent. If he has a 2013 like his 2011, then yeah, throw 25M at him maybe even, but I seriously doubt he's a .900+ OPS hitter at this point.

Sterling is "colorful" and unboring if Hawk is. I am disappointed.

Yeah, I agree except Josh Hamilton is an elite offensive producer with good defense. He's going to make bank, and I would absolutely not be interested in that type of deal, see A-Rod for reasons why.

I'd rather not have Bobby V back, but he wasn't what caused this wreck of a team. The pitching needs vast improvement, and they already are rid of some monster contracts. If they invest it properly, Bobby V should get a good shot to prove himself as a manager in 2013.

Ban him. f***ing Hawk Harrelson is awful. I still remember his weak-ass, monotone, depressed-sounding "this ballgame is over" when Thome hit Target Field's first walk-off homer. It was the best he's ever sounded.

Let's wait until they positively invest some of this untied payroll to say BC is the second-coming. I tell ya, if they do this just to reinvest in a bunch of risky crap (see Crawford and Lackey) nothing was gained.

It's becoming more about the bullcrap and less about the team. We have people saying they don't care about the team on the field, but still feel the need to get on Talksox and remind us what pieces of s*** these guys are. It seems some people's sole purpose on Talksox is to do just that. It's getting out of control.
