    Do you know what he said? He defended Joe Pa as far as I can tell. Not going to pretend I know everything that was said, but it appears he was defending Joe Pa.

    A .694 OPS is absolutely god-awful from anyone in any part of the lineup. Pedroia was the only one hitting. All he had to do was produce and he'd have been hitting 2nd. He didn't. I already said I fully expect him to be the guy we signed him to be, but I can't make excuses for him letting everyone down last year.

    Mismanaged? He wasn't going to magically play like a 20M dollar player or not be injured if he was hitting 2nd all this time. He has been a massive disappointment, and correct me if I'm wrong, and whether or not he is is an entirely seperate issue, but it seems like you're making excuses for him. His .600 OPS last year is not acceptable, and he needs to re-prove himself. I'm not a Crawford hater at all, and no one thinks he'll be back to form more than I do, but he still has to go and get it done. I like results, he didn't give us results last year, he was atrocious.

    His OPS drops, and drops, and drops, and drops. Then it drops some more. He's down to .794 OPS. Wow, remember when I was laughed at for suggesting an OPS under .800? Because it would take months of not hitting to do that? Well yeah, there you have it. Salty's under .800 OPS.

    Thank you, I'd be a little depressed if a guy who posts gems like "our ownership is to stupid to be sellers" and "bull he will step on the field and require tommy john" was fond of my posts.

    No one's being censored, this is how all forums are. I'm frustrated with this team, and it probably makes me less tolerant when I'm reading everything here and getting stressed out. Overall, I think everyone needs to be able to take different opinions on the chin a little bit better.

    Those guys should be sure bets though, except for Beckett, who you never know about. If those guys and Crawford perform, this team's in first right now.

    If everyone is healthy and playing to career averages, this is a top 5 team. That's not optimistic. An unreasonable amount of s*** play and injuries to key players has made the difference. I'm not delusional at all, it's obvious that if the play doesn't change, this one's over, and there haven't been any signs of improvement. It's still not over, not by a long shot.

    I agree that the odds are heavily stacked against us. I never said otherwise, but you make it sound like this isn't a sport where something crazy like this happens almost every year. In context, it sounds like you think it's impossible, thats all I'm saying.
