  1. Most fanbases don't have guys who pretend to know how to scout.
  2. Overpaid? Lol could have been MVP, is now turning it on, is overpaid. Also I'm pretty sure this dude's trolling anyways, no one could make a thread for everything like this.
  3. Haha, the sky is falling!
  4. That he is, but soxprospects is just basically some guys talking out of their asses. I don't proclaim to be a scout, but there's really nothing of value on that site.
  5. Ridiculous, my teams blow. f***in' eh.
  6. These game threads have no activity. All of the optimists have disappeared, all of the realists know it's time to sell and all the pessimists are laughing and saying they told us so. The pitching is unreal, this team needs a pair of aces. Two, not one, two. Our supposed #2 pitchers are all mediocre this year, and the only one I'm even moderately optimistic about is Bucholz going forward. Lester needs to re-prove himself, Beckett, who knows what the hell he's going to be next year if he's even in Boston. Trends suggest he'll be an ace, but that's the sort of trend I don't really trust in. offensively even, Crawford seems like he's just shot. He's been an atrocious hitter since coming here, and it's extremely frustrating to watch. I never counted on him to return to form, but I didn't expect this again. Hopefully he turns it on at some point and finishes with respectable numbers, but right now it's frustrating to watch. Either way, this team pissed away month after month, showed signs of coming on, then regressed back to mediocrity. I'm not saying "f*** this team" or "it's over" even, but it's just not likely at all, and it's time to sell some pieces.
  7. Bobby V was a joke to begin with. This is a dude who never deserved an opportunity. Half-assed, demoralizing offseason to be sure, the stinginess was what really pissed me off. They basically decided they weren't going to do jack s*** to make improvements in the weak rotation. I half-expected Beckett to be mediocre this year, but never expected Lester to basically be John Lackey. I really hope they go out and get stuff done, I'm sick of missing the postseason.
  8. So you make it even worse by drinking crappy beer? Just kidding. Sort of.
  9. Soxprospects is a joke bro.
  10. LOL! I wish him a speedy recovery. Hah!
  11. Jeez that sounds a bit rough!
  12. And my mistake calling you Dutchy, you're obviously BOY. Dutchy isn't that stupid, annoying or full of s***.
  13. That's a crock of s***, where do you even come up with this?
  14. It's Jacko. Ichiro is awful if he can't get hits. Yankees stadium isn't going to do him good, because he's a guy who slaps balls (so he'll fit in well in New York anyways) to get hits. His career is noticeably in decline, and he should have retired already. He might have had a time where he had 230 hits every year, but he's been on a downward trend.
  15. Who can't get on base anymore to use his speed....
  16. the Rangers have the most complete team in baseball. I don't see any team beating them in a 5-7 game series, the offense can shred any pitcher on any given night, and the rotation and bullpen generally shuts it down well enough.
  17. Also, they're not really "whining", they're disappointed. No one wants to see Ichiro win a ring, and the Yanks aren't getting passed the Rangers anyways.
  18. He has a lower BA against all pitches. Next.
  19. He still has his facts essentially straight. What you're pushing isn't fact. Most people are whining about him being on the Yanks because he was so likeable until now. Anyways, don't be a homer Div. He blows right now, and he's a singles hitter. Now he can't get hits. Its not about the pitches he gets, Ichiro is washed up.
  20. Hmm, very difficult, but people have come close. Joe Mauer was hitting well over .400 late into the season in 2009. I've never seen anyone that hot in my life, or even close, for that long. I remember when he hit like 11 homers in his first month back, then he didn't hit one for a couple weeks and everyone thought he'd finish with about 15-20. I alwayd thought he'd push 30, he was stroking the ball so well even when he wasn't hitting bombs. Of course, he hit 28. I'm not sure we'll ever see a .400 hitter again, very difficult to be that hot for so long.
  21. Hawk said "This ballgame is over" but in a depressed, monotone voice.
  22. Not interested in Dempster at all. Or Dumpster as be will eventually be known here I'm sure.
  23. I don't know if James was talking out of his ass or what, but he said he read it as well. He obviously got something out of it that you guys didn't.
  24. I usually get those several times daily as well. Sometimes it takes one refresh, sometimes it takes 10 minutes or more.
