  1. I don't mind if we trade him actually...
  2. I'd rather drop Ortiz and take both Bay and Holliday, sorry to say. And I actually like Johnny Damon too. I don't see a decent spot for him though if Bay comes back. Even if he doesn't come back, we'd need more power than just Damon. But again, if we can move Ortiz and keep Bay, I'd go for Damon and DH him. These are more or less pipe dreams because we all know Ortiz most likely won't be dropped.
  3. He had a 3.13 ERA (or something close to that) in Pawtucket. I think he'll be ready to be a starter for us in 2010. What do you think?
  4. Well, I wasn't saying he was a bad pitcher, I'm just saying he throws at a lot of heads. But I do agree that I think Buchholz will be the better or prime pitcher in the end.
  5. True that
  6. First of all, I think V-Mart offers much more. V-Tek is no good anymore (sorry to say). Second, who is T-Nez?
  7. My point exactly. And people are thinking I'm nuts for wanting to keep A-Gon. In their defense, Hardy did have two exceptional years (07 and 08), but other than that, he hasn't been very good. But I still really do have a bit of faith in Lowrie to do better. He just can't keep on getting injured... it's breaking his career.
  8. I would take one of those (Byrd) or (Wake) just to be a mop up man. Other than that, I'll pass, neither is that great. But you have to think, Tazawa over Bowden? Hmm... not sure. But neither will make it anyway.
  9. I said Lester in game 1 would work... but maybe it's not so bad having him pitch the second game. I mean, as long as we win, I don't see any problem. But a righty, lefty, than righty could be better than having a lefty, righty, righty combo. I guess it really doesn't matter though. All I know is that Lester has been are best pitcher this year that has thrown a lot of innings.
  10. Joba's greatest talent is throwing at heads and acting like nothing has happened...
  11. I was once bashing this guy and now I'm praising him. I assumed I would be in due time.
  12. Signing Wake again (unless for the second half) would be a huge mistake. I'd start Tazawa over Wake any day (he wasn't that bad his last two starts, especially the full game against the Yankees).
  13. I think we need to get Matt Holliday, and before the Yankees do.
  14. Well, he's horrible this year, but if you look at his 07 and 08 stats, Hardy has been a better hitter. I don't think he's the answer though at SS. I'm fine with Gonzo for this season, maybe next year. We'll see. But so far this year, it's been an awesome deal.
  15. We should take into account that Jon Lester has been the better pitcher in 2008 and 2009. I think he deserves the #1 spot. He has shown us he is doing better than Beckett. this won't happen though, Beckett will pitch the first game. Typically I don't care, so long as we get a win. But last post season Beckett was horrible.
  16. That's the sad part about it. But Ellsbury is still pretty good as a lead-off, and he has the speed, so it makes perfect sense. But when Pedroia was lead-off at one point in 07 and early 08, we PWNdroia'd everyone.
  17. I call him DelCLOWNboy because he always clowns around. He is either really good or really bad.
