  1. Yup. Signing Koji makes sense.
  2. Amen to that!
  3. So it seems that Farrell was extended through 2018 today. That should makes so many of you experts so happy.
  4. If you only knew that chart!!! If the Yankees had signed EE the Good Doctor would be extolling the genius that is Cashman and how EE is the guy that will power the Yankees to division tittles for five years. I like Jacko alot so don't get me wrong. But every once in while his Chart think overcomes his common sense and we get an earful.
  5. I would definitely resign Koji and have said it several times. Just 5-6 mil for one year plus incentives if necessary. I'd also try for Taz, too.
  6. I realize the Sox may prefer a lh bat. I just don't dig the idea of our DH being a career .238 hitter with an OBP of .311. Jake LaMotta would have said "He defeats his own purpose". But Sox fans are suckers for the company line so It's just another garbage signing I'll have to live with.
  7. I doubt that many here would agree with me but I prefer Napoli. Strike outs and all. He sees a s*** ton of pitches and has good power. He plays near GG D at first. He fits in well around here. Meh.
  8. Thanks. $48. mil is even worse. The Dodgers continue to spend crazy money.
  9. That is totally f***ed money for either of those guys. How the hell is Hill going to remain healthy enough to be worth $48. mil over 3 years? Who the f*** is making these decisions? I hope DD does not do such stupid things.
  10. Break out The Chart.
  11. I don't know of anyone who expects Buch to make 21-33 starts. That is f***ing nuts. I simply stated that I believe there is a strong likelihood that he starts about half of that. I have never liked his money/production ratio but am resigned to his continued presence on my favorite team and as such don't have a problem with it anymore. But I do still believe that Fatboy is a fat slob and I do attack his character.
  12. I could not agree more. In fact, see my sig which quotes UserName?
  13. Kimmi is right. This team needs Buch. As strange as that sound coming from my mouth! Every team should have 7, 8, and even 9 starting pitchers in the system. I bet Buch makes 13-20 starts this year easy.
  14. I say get Napoli even though the Sox want a left handed hitter.
  15. Beltran was DD's plan A. I wonder what plan B is?
  16. But we are discussing him as depth. Not mid or top of the rotation.
  17. I agree with this idea.
  18. Welcome to The Rogue State of Red Sox Nation.
  19. What ever happened to Workman? It's a shame.
  20. McCutchen says he will not move to left field for the Pirates. What makes you think that he would be okay with that move with the Sox? I like him too. But we have no need for him.
  21. Not to worry my friend. The big increase in WAR gleaned at 3rd base and left field will make up enough of the void that you won't even notice he is gone. I learned this from the experts here at Talksox so it must be true. Right?
  22. Poor Castillo and Craig. I wish that I had their problems.
  23. Beni will be a star. That is all.
  24. It does to me. But I can understand going cheap now for the near future as well.
  25. If he won't be in Boston I'm glad that he won't be in Toronto or New York.
