    I guess that I can no longer call him Fatboy or Tub Of Goo. He looks really good. About 220 or so is my guess which is fine for a guy his size. I hope that he has the ability to stay in shape and that he rapidly reacquires his timing and stroke at the plate. Maybe even switch hit again.

    Or DD could pull a Yankee and sign EE as if he were our Tex. s*** like that does happen. Of course not with all of the new penalties of the CBA. I would do it even if it's a bad deal 3 years down the road.

    Porcello because he had the best season for the Sox last year and won the Cy Young. Otherwise I don't really care as it is just a ceremonial assignment at this point.

    I don't get it. With the exception of losing Ortiz the Sox are the strongest team that we have had in a while. Why are people bitching?

    Oh come on Kimmi. You have a point and legitimate concern but this is no more than you projecting your opinion as speculation. Yes, the farm has been depleted. But you simply do not know that DD has "gone on to sacrifice our future".

    I hope that we do. Not that I want anything adverse to happen to Leon or Vasquez. I just like Swihart and want him to succeed on this team. Not in Pawtucket or on another MLB team.
