  1. I am not sure in which thread to mention this. Earlier I read on Barstool Sports ( not such a great source, I know ) that EE would be signing with the Astro's today. That it was pretty much a done deal. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
  2. Hey Doc, do you see the Yankees being in on EE? I just think he is an obvious choice to be a DH/1st for NY. Am I wrong?
  3. In any case, Pablo made his own problems by not performing well and then by showing up in even worse shape for his second year. That is on him and only him. Somehow I see any fan base in MLB reacting the same as Boston fans if he had done that on their team.
  4. Now that is f***ing funny.
  5. I don't remember the details but I seem to remember him getting shelled I'm getting old.
  6. Sounds more reasonable than getting another flawed hitter.
  7. It's going to suck if the season is delayed. I'm already jonesing for Red Sox Baseball. Rich guys arguing with other rich guys over money is sickening.
  8. Lol. So now we are considering signing a .220 hitter with a .300 OBP to be a DH for the Sox? Oye. And I don't care for the idea of a platoon DH.
  9. But he is a fat slob.
  10. Where did you dig this doozy up?
  11. Is Eovaldi worth a look? As Depth?
  12. lol. Yeah Buddy.
  13. I just assumed that he would not be available.
  14. The only thing the Rays have that the Sox should want is starting pitching.
  15. Are you originally from Missouri?
  16. Can't be any worse than being married to a Russian woman.
  17. Boston is a demanding market. Everything is expensive here and no one wants to get gypped. Pablo was a likely failure from the get go. Lots of less talented players in several sports survive and even thrive here. This town and market loves underdogs. But an average player brought in on a mega contract is going to have a bulls eye on him and deservedly so. f*** Pablo.
  18. Maybe so Kimmi. But Hanley turned it around. Of course Hanley has always been a superior athlete to Pablo.
  19. Good for him. He knows he's never going to be a big time MLB star so might as well take what he can get while he can. Has anyone here ever thought about what it would be like to just pick up and go live in such a different environment as South Korea? I have a friend who spent about 6 months working in S. Korea this year. She said it was very interesting and exciting. Just imagine living there and working there. Not knowing the language. It's got to be strange.
  20. So. Would any of you be willing to replace one of our current (3) catchers straight up for Castro? Not me.
  21. Castro is a back up catcher on the Sox.
  22. Well Gentlemen, as we all know there is more than one way to build a rotation!
  23. That pretty much sums it up. People can debate the price paid but the Sox made the best move they felt that they could make and it was completely appropriate.
  24. Castro is an average catcher. Let some else value his framing at $8. mil a year. I'd rather have the cheap and better options of the three that we have.
