I don't see why you're getting upset with me. I was just voicing that players that celebrate obnoxiously for a game that they are among the only ones that care about and that they should win in the first place is classless. And in baseball, classless = sweet chin music. Having class and assuming mutual class and respect from others isn't what "plagues" the US. This has nothing to do with the US not seeing the big picture. This isn't just about celebrations, it's about respect and class, and you seem to lack both. Not to mention the fact that the tournament was reasonably handed to them. Do Dominicans act like this when they get wins handed to them in other walks of life.
You're just as "my way or the highway" as anyone. TheCampFighter and myself voiced our displeasure for obnoxious fans who would get slumped on sight for being jackasses if it were legal. Those fans have every right to do what they want, however on the flip side, we have every right to go to a game and not be interrupted by drunk or otherwise obnoxious fans. We paid just as much money to go to the games. Just because it doesn't physically hurt anyone doesn't mean it doesn't inflict on someone else, or that it isn't wrong. Those obnoxious players/fans are wrong and so are you. If you have a problem with me having a problem with it, then you can go f*** yourself...twice.
As for the facebook incident, Dipre had a stream of ridiculous celebration posts that flooded my newsfeed. I reminded him that the US doesn't care about the WBC and that the Domincans won a tournament that was practically handed to them and they shouldn't act like douchebags for something they SHOULD win. He got butthurt and started attacking me for going out of my way and for thinking the world revolves around the US. (Which in true Dipre form brings in irrelevant and uncorrelated crap to arguments because he has to try and come back with something because he can never admit defeat)
The way you attacked me so passionately for me having never mentioned you, and the way you brought in irrelevant comments (me somehow being what plagues the US or that the Americans being self centered has something to do with Dominicans obnoxious celebrations), and the way that a simple disagreement turned into you telling me I can to f*** myself, and the weak "your facebook argument is invalid because you wrote on a post someone else posted on someone else's wall (even though the criticisms of the flood posts are correct and unchallenged)" all point to behavior Dipre would use.
And I was one of the few people that liked Dipre enough to take his side and befriend him, even though he can be an absolute jackass a lot of the time. Hell I often regret sharing the friendship and aspects of my personal life with him. He was a smart poster and brought a lot to the table, but his banning was almost unanimously supported because at times he was the biggest jackass of jackasses. He was stubborn, and an often ignorant cut-throat commenter on situations that completely did not merit it.
