  1. Sometimes I think we should have the pitcher bat for Iglesias. I bet some pitchers can get the ball out of the infield. If Iglesias gets a deep outfield flyout then he should be allowed to round the bases.
  2. I feel like some of those scenarios can be funny when done right but yeah this one was just stupid and pathetic. There are some people in the world I wish never procreate and pass their genes on.
  3. I'm a big fan of his delivery, I always thought Brain Matusz had a similar delivery but was unable to turn it into the same success. I feel like Kershaw is one of the few that can go from success in the NL West to success in the AL East.
  4. This isn't really game related persay but I'm not sure where else it'll go. http://i595.photobucket.com/albums/tt38/italstallianion/francona1_zps64af4058.gif
  5. While I'm not excited about using 5 relievers in a game, the fact that 4 of them used 12 pitches or less is pretty good. I'd say that Miller should be the only one not eligible for the next game, and that's just as much because he sucks as it is because of the amount of pitches he threw today.
  6. Jesus Titty f***ing Christ Koji just got you a 5 pitch 1,2,3 inning (which is about the 3rd best possible scenario) and you take him out for an unpredictable pitcher with control issues in a close game. Where's the fire the manager campaign when you need it?
  7. How many pitches did Koji throw? Was it really worth taking him out to put Miller in? Really?
  8. You need to step your posts per page game up son.
  9. If someone paid me millions of dollars to play baseball I would not complain about getting rid of facial hair. I'd put ribbons and bows in for one of their paychecks.
  10. Interesting to note we have 32 guests in this thread. Cmon guys sign up and join the conversation!!
  11. Now that the teams I hate are out of the tournament I have no idea who to root for or against at this point.
  12. I wonder what the odds were on Erik Bedard getting his first career save. I'd have been rich if I could go back in time.
  13. I imagine that's the only time a guys tool being small can be considered a good thing.
  14. Looks like we have a bunch of Uconn fans here. It's weird seeing some of Jacko's posts and being like "I agree"
  15. I don't care about FGCU, I just hate UF. Then again I haven't watched a single game of the tournament to date, and I don't plan on starting now.
  16. I think the Rangers had wanted Youkilis/Ellsbury for Teixeira.
  17. Much more higher? Do you need more help with your English homework? lml
  18. The titles only as respected as the men who hold it.
  19. Fair enough, I just limited the information I see from him. It's just annoying to see one dude write dozens of statuses and wall posts about a game nobody else cares about. And instead of unfriending him (like a bitch) I spoke to him about it. Real talk, while Dipre and I don't get along every once in a while, we were really good friends on here for years and I'm not going to throw away a multi year friendship over some stupid s*** like this. That type of petty s*** is something someone else I knew from here would do. #Shotsfired
  20. Honestly, I think that the whole "everyone in the world should act with class like Americans do" as well as the "everyone in the world should tolerate the way we Domincan players/fans act" are BOTH selfish arguments. Likewise, the Domincan POV isn't the only POV. They have as much right to celebrate the way they do as I have the right to criticize them for it, as much as you have the right to criticize me for criticizing them for it, etc etc. I still don't see how the Dominicans winning a tournament that almost nobody cared about and that they should have won is such a big deal. So if I put it into perspective, it's still not a big deal. Perhaps it is you with your national pride that isn't seeing the big picture (as opposed to the US that knows it just a game that doesn't matter enough to send top talent)
  21. I don't see why you're getting upset with me. I was just voicing that players that celebrate obnoxiously for a game that they are among the only ones that care about and that they should win in the first place is classless. And in baseball, classless = sweet chin music. Having class and assuming mutual class and respect from others isn't what "plagues" the US. This has nothing to do with the US not seeing the big picture. This isn't just about celebrations, it's about respect and class, and you seem to lack both. Not to mention the fact that the tournament was reasonably handed to them. Do Dominicans act like this when they get wins handed to them in other walks of life. You're just as "my way or the highway" as anyone. TheCampFighter and myself voiced our displeasure for obnoxious fans who would get slumped on sight for being jackasses if it were legal. Those fans have every right to do what they want, however on the flip side, we have every right to go to a game and not be interrupted by drunk or otherwise obnoxious fans. We paid just as much money to go to the games. Just because it doesn't physically hurt anyone doesn't mean it doesn't inflict on someone else, or that it isn't wrong. Those obnoxious players/fans are wrong and so are you. If you have a problem with me having a problem with it, then you can go f*** yourself...twice. As for the facebook incident, Dipre had a stream of ridiculous celebration posts that flooded my newsfeed. I reminded him that the US doesn't care about the WBC and that the Domincans won a tournament that was practically handed to them and they shouldn't act like douchebags for something they SHOULD win. He got butthurt and started attacking me for going out of my way and for thinking the world revolves around the US. (Which in true Dipre form brings in irrelevant and uncorrelated crap to arguments because he has to try and come back with something because he can never admit defeat) The way you attacked me so passionately for me having never mentioned you, and the way you brought in irrelevant comments (me somehow being what plagues the US or that the Americans being self centered has something to do with Dominicans obnoxious celebrations), and the way that a simple disagreement turned into you telling me I can to f*** myself, and the weak "your facebook argument is invalid because you wrote on a post someone else posted on someone else's wall (even though the criticisms of the flood posts are correct and unchallenged)" all point to behavior Dipre would use. And I was one of the few people that liked Dipre enough to take his side and befriend him, even though he can be an absolute jackass a lot of the time. Hell I often regret sharing the friendship and aspects of my personal life with him. He was a smart poster and brought a lot to the table, but his banning was almost unanimously supported because at times he was the biggest jackass of jackasses. He was stubborn, and an often ignorant cut-throat commenter on situations that completely did not merit it.
  22. The Campfighter might sound like a douche but I think he's right here. I think it's unfair to criticize the US fans for not caring about the WBC when the players and teams themselves don't care about the WBC. If the WBC included the best US team it could possibly assemble (meaning Willie Bloomquist will be taken out back and disposed of) then I can see the Americans caring. But the Americans care more about the money and domestic teams than their country teams. In addition, I think there's a difference between being a "good fan" and being an annoying, yelling, screaming, douchebag. My facebook feed had 1 friend flood with nonstop WBC posts. Any guesses as to who it is? I'll give you a clue, he used to post here and he's Dominican. He was annoying as f*** rubbing in a WBC victory that his team should have won. And if as a fan, you bring horns/vuvuzelas to games I hope your bench collapses. On a slightly related note, the Dominican team should get 95 fastballs to the temple for acting like a bunch of douchebags for celebrating like they did during the WBC. It's baseball, not soccer. You didn't score a goal, you didn't win the World Cup. You won a tournament barely anybody cares about as one of the favorite teams that was supposed to win. I want to see Rawling's inscribed backwards on their heads.

  24. I haven't filled any out since Uconn has the tournament suspension. I just don't seem to care about college sports this year.
  25. I put myself somewhere in the middle. I'm generally a negative person but I think I can give credit where it's due.
