    I don't think us being jerks to one another and the Sox losing are entirely correlated. I'm sure there are fights when the Sox aren't even playing.

    That makes sense because with the Sox going to Philly, we had 8 relievers when Victorino/Middlebrooks were DL'd and Iglesias/Aceves came up. Now that our starters have given us a bit of a lift, and more importantly, we're going to an NL park, the extra position player becomes more valuable.

    I was riding a horse once and it broke it's leg so I had to shoot it. Then everyone else on the carousel started freaking out.

    And people's moms too. I once blacked out at my friends New Year's Party and tried to hook up with his mom and her friends. My 3 roommates from undergrad have sisters and I'm friends with almost all of them. Granted I'm breaking new levels of friend zone, but I'm just biding my time. I'd never smash without express written consent from my friends though. I'd give anything to have a detention with Mrs. Stifler though.

    In order to diffuse the situation, I'm going to have to make this extra gay. My apologies. BornToRun...I guess you can say "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" was "Our Song" when we were "22" but her "Love Story" was "Mean" and never "Red" If I could "Begin Again" with "Eyes Open" "I Should've Said No" and picked a more "Fearless" artist. I know this "All Too Well"

    I've had neighbors think we're filming a hardcore gay porno because of all the random gay yelling that occurs during Halo tournaments.

    I mean as much as UN is rough around the edges he does know what he's talking about the majority of the time. Yeah, to be honest I don't think he's much more civil than he was under his previous account, (which I felt was borderline when it got banned) but when it comes to simply understanding the game and articulating it, he's pretty good. I mean he might not be Forsyth with charts or Example, but he's definitely above average around here. But I do think his points can be made with fewer insults and as such it tends to take away from his credibility because over time, fewer and fewer people aren't turned off by it.

    With guys yes. It may start out civil, but eventually guys have to show how much tougher they are than the others, so then comes the "you're a fa....." or "you have a small..." or "take his pen....out of your mou..." I've played enough Halo in college to know how it works.

    These arguments always escalate quickly. For the first few minutes it's stuff about the game then it's a little extracirricular with unnecessary added words, and then it always goes straight to gay.

    Hamels pitched the day before our series began so we shouldn't get him. I think Hamels is their one starter we don't face.

    I'm just surprised that Papelbon stopped walking so many guys.

    I guess that losing today made it that much more important that we won yesterday since we were probably expected to lose both. Now it'll be interesting to see how the series goes when we go to Philly for the remaining games.

    If we weren't losing the game 2-1 right now I think everyone would be talking about how well Dempster did. Not great, but better than his last few starts which is a good sign. Baby steps. It just so happens we're facing one of the best pitchers in the league, so giving up 2 runs is enough to still get the loss. If every start for Dempster's contract was 7 innings 2 ER, I'd be ecstatic.

    I am happy but nervous. My absolute best case scenario and my absolute worst case scenario can happen. Miami is the team I hate the most in the NBA currently, and in my opinion they are the best team in the NBA. I'd rather not make the playoffs than lose in the finals, and to lose to the team I hate the most, at the worst possible time, would be the worst possible scenario. But if the Spurs win by beating the team I hate the most it'd be the best possible scenario imo. I'm still mad that we got swept after being up 2-0 to OKC last year, then again I'm still pissed about losing to Memphis in the first round a few years ago, and for getting upset by Dallas in 2006 etc.

    For the record, if you look at Nava's splits vs. lefties, Gomes has a higher OBP. Nava vs. lefties .244/.327/.390/.717 (41 AB's) Nava vs. righties .306/.418/.491/.909 (108 AB's) Gomes vs. lefties .160/.333/.340/.673 (50 AB's) I guess the point is that Nava is much better against righties, which is why he'd bat 2nd, but vs. lefties I think it's better to put Gomes earlier and Nava towards the middle. Also 5/8 of Gomes hits vs. lefties are extra bases whereas only 2/10 of Navas hits vs. lefties are for extra bases.
