    I feel like the games the Sox lose are relatively close but the games they win are full on blowouts. The stats don't always agree but that's how it feels to me watching/following. After these 2 games saying it's "1-1" doesn't seem fair to Boston based on how the 2 games went. Oh well, there's still game 3 of the series to decide it.

    I still think Gomes has been (and will be) a better return on $10M than Hanrahan was (and will be) of $7M.

    Speaking of shutouts, I looked into the shutouts this season (for no particular reason) and here's what I found. Adam Wainwright: Rockies and Brewers Justin Masterson: NYY and White Sox Bartolo Colon: Red Sox (7 innings) and White Sox Jeremy Guthrie: White Sox Jeff Samardzija: White Sox Anibal Sanchez: Twins Shelby Miller: Rockies Hiroki Kuroda: Baltimore Jason Vargas: Baltimore Jordan Zimmerman: Cincinnati Jake Westbrook: Cincinnati Brandon McCarthy: Miami Cliff Lee: Miami Chris Sale: Angels Hyun-Jin Ryu: Angels Jon Lester: Toronto Clayton Kershaw: Giants Kyle Kendrick: Mets Aaron Harang: Padres Other than the fact that the White Sox offense is prone to sucking donkey balls (evidenced by low runs and minimal walks) I'm surprised that Houston, Seattle, Dodgers, Rays (based on recent no-hit history), and the Cubs aren't listed yet teams like Cincinnati, Baltimore, NYY, BOS, TOR and teams in band boxes like the White Sox and Rockies are listed. Also, in my research I found that a s*** load of these were 1 hit shutouts.

    He now has more complete games (and shutouts) on the season than the entire Boston staff, although that's misleading since one of his shutouts was a 7 inning rain ended one of us.

    He'd probably take her out to dinner and pay for it himself and not take advantage of her, and then call me up and ask me if he can hold her hand. Haha j/k Y228 it's all good. The point is you're one of us. Except for the whole Yankee fan part. Roll Tide.

    I'd suggest the opposite. Keep them separate but equal. (No offense RSFFL) Except for Y228 who can sleep with my daughter if I had one.

    I'm still never that confident when we're playing the Yankees since both teams play each other tough, but I'd hope we can at least win the series.

    I honestly don't think she's hot. She's ok and kind of cute...but not hot.

    US although I bounced around like a pinball machine growing up. Parents had multiple marriages/divorces so I had been around.

    Of the 82 something kids in the public school in my town (I went to a private high school) I believe 5 of them are in jail, or were at some point. Keep in mind, I graduated in 2006.

    One of my high school classmates is in the NFL (Lions) and another one was playing professional basketball in Romania but got killed in a bar fight. A crap load of my friends are in the armed forces in one way or another.

    That makes sense, otherwise I wouldn't have understood the pinch hitter with nobody on and two outs, but if you're going to pull the pitcher anyway it works, and it did here.

    I wouldn't be too quick to give us the advantage in all of those. Doubront hasn't been too reliable, Kuroda has been exceptionally well for them, and I feel like CC can always do well, especially given the way we have (or haven't) hit lefties, especially ones that can pitch.

    It would have been nicer if Iglesias was still on base but I'll obviously still take it. Was Morales on a set pitch count or was this something to try and switch up the offense?

    Then again we said something similar about Gomes and a lot of our righties. Hopefully this one can hit LHP.

    I'm still winless in my career. I don't think they'll allow me to make Gamethreads anymore. At least your mojo works on the rest of the site if it doesn't work on the team. haha

    I thought about that too, but I figured I always pronounce is "Pap-ul-bahn" so when I read "Papelboner" I think "Pap-ul-bahner" Pettiboner is a little easier imo.
