One of our former draftees Chris McGuinness (traded to Texas in the Salty deal) made his debut yesterday and is trying to prevent Texas from getting swept by the Blue Jays.

I'm hoping for some supersized offense to match the super game threads. -
I like the Bruins, but I mainly wanted to stick it to the Rangers, Penguins, and Blackhawks. The fact that the Bruins win adds a little too.

I feel like with the new CBA, the first 10 rounds of picks need to be looked at as a single package before grading, rather than in previous years where you can judge each pick at a time.

The other factor is that the head coach of the college team is Serrano's father. That might muddy the water a little.

One of the biggest concerns will be all of the future puns YOTN makes in gamethreads. I hope we trade both of them the second we get the chance or punt the picks.

I wonder if it was a potential below slot pick, although from what I'm reading he spurned the Mets because they tried to offer him below slot.

I'm going to research more into the picks and wait a bit before reacting but I'm a little disappointed with the first pick and extremely disappointed with the second one.

I wonder if since this draft was considered a pretty weak class, if the Sox risk trying to get Ball under slot and at worst, punt the high pick to a year with a better draft class.

Pittsburgh looked like the better team for the majority of the game. The 3rd was the most lopsided 0-0 period I ever saw. The first OT looked even, maybe a slight edge to Boston but Pittsburgh looked better in the second OT. The Bruins often left Rask hanging out to dry and he single handedly kept Boston from losing that game.
