  1. I factored that in however now the mess is on my computer. They really should make some kind of spermguard for a laptop.
  2. My point wasn't to call the game. My point was that the score was not necessarily reflective of what we had seen in the game, whereby in the Sox losses it felt like we lost by double digits when we only lost by 1-3 runs. While this game wasn't lost, it had the same feel as the other games the Sox lost whereby the score was closer than what the eye test showed. I understand how it implied that I called the game, do to poor grammar choice when comparing this game to the other games (all of which the Sox lost) and I'm not surprised UN had a wise ass response, I was just too lazy to go into detail and explain the situation because I felt like it was a moot point.
  3. Are the Sox the last team to have an interleague game this season?
  4. Also, I find it interesting that Gomes has 4 more walks than hits on the season.
  5. Also worthy of note, David Ortiz is 2/2 in stealing 3rd base this season.
  6. What just happened? lml Ellsbury is that you?
  7. Either that or his 3rd chance to clearly cost us the game.
  8. Jim Johnson blew another one today, going 2/3 of an inning allowed 4 runs to lose to Toronto. As much as I wanted Toronto to win, that just cost me money. f*** the Toronto offense and Baltimore pitching.
  9. I love and hate this team so much at the same time.
  10. After the way the game started I was impressed that Doubront was able to make it through 6 innings.
  11. I'd rather lose by a lot than by a little. A loss counts the same regardless of the score and I can stop watching earlier instead of being emotionally invested in a close game and then losing.
  12. It seems like Doubront has had some better outings the same time Dempster has had some worse outings.
  13. I hated Swisher when he was on the Yankees, but I don't mind him when he's on another team, unless he's facing Boston of course.
  14. That would be great if we were talking about pitchers. Honestly I feel like for this game, and many other Sox losses, that while we lose the game by 1-2 runs, we leave the game feeling like we lost by 10.
  15. I vaguely remember Ellsbury going opposite field all the time in the 2007 playoffs. I thought that was what he specialized in, that awkwardly spinning cue shot the other way. Maybe if we all tweet at the Red Sox FO to drop ellsbury in the order maybe something would work. Spamming people on twitter works wonders, my friend got his flight refunded from Delta when they had a delay that caused him to miss his connecting flight on our Seattle vacation which left him stuck in Detroit. He just tweeted at them a bunch and one of their PR reps contacted him directly. The moral of the story is, if something doesn't go your way, bitch and complain about it until it does.
  16. I think Webster deserves at least another chance. Hopefully Webster/Doubront/Aceves together can pitch a majority of a game.
  17. I figured even as any other hitter (not #1) he'd still lead off his fair share of innings. I guess I don't see what the big deal is, but I certainly don't want to mess with his mindset.
  18. Pedroia with the 9 pitch walk after being down 0-2. That's just not fair to pitchers.
  19. That inning could have been a lot worse. Thank god it's only 2.
  20. It's the closest thing I've seen to watching Dice-K pitch again.
  21. Silly question, but is it still a reverse split if the player is a switch hitter?
  22. Welcome. CT in the building. (I'm in CT for another month before I move off to grad school but I've spent a lot of my life here)
  23. I'm not sure that'll ever happen. The Yankees have enough money to buy them out of whatever problems they get into. Kind of like the Kennedys and the Kardashians.
  24. Divinity reminds me of Gom in many ways. I don't hate them as people, but I can't say I'm a fan of their posting habits/styles. That said Divinity was pretty clutch in the redrafts so that earned him respect in my book. Although being a Pats/Yankees fan is a little weird, especially for someone not from CT.
  25. I'm not a doctor, so I'll have to wait for the scans to come back, but by my estimate Jacko just got SERVED.
