  1. Speaking of strikeout-rate, you've struck out on nearly 100% of your posts...quit while you're only this far behind...
  2. Good, I'm not ready for him to stop playing yet...
  3. I am?? At least if you're going to try to poke holes in my argument, at least use my argument. I'm going to ignore the rest of your post because you assumed that I supported giving the dude a contract. Now I know that you're not only nuts but you jumped the gun a bit quickly as well. I never said anything about a contract. Bosox and I (correct me if I'm wrong Bosox) are saying let the dude try out for 10-15 minutes, see what the dude has, and move on with our lives. Geez, if you're going to at least act like you're right, you should start by paying attention...that was a rookie mistake dude...
  4. I think all 3 of you a nuts then...
  5. f*** Pittsburgh....
  6. Too bad that I'll be asleep before the Pitt vs. Uconn game. Go Huskies!!
  7. If we're that desperate where we'd have to rely on someone as a 6th OF, I don't think a 25% K rate is that bad....They'd be willing to take homeless guys off the street at that point...that's how we got Damon to start with...
  8. See Bosox's post above. He said it perfectly and with far more brevity than I could have possibly used...
  9. It almost seems as if the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry on here can be broken down to DipreG vs. Diony and JimedHOF vs. Jacko.... Anyway, Diony, you're f***** nuts if you're comparing Burnett and Varitek. That's like trying to justify buying an Ashton Martin by saying it's of higher quality than a Civic. I know that Jacko is out of his f***** mind, but recently you've been able to out-do him...
  10. I think it would be fun. Not necessarily for a roster spot, but to have him around and talk with the younger dudes...I like how he still has the passion as well...
  11. Phil Hughes is better than anything you have in your farm system, Buchholz included. Dude, that was so stupid that even I had to bite on your troll bait. I know that JimEdHOF and many others will disagree with me, but that's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen you post.
  12. Indeed. I think that Lowell is simply being honest and I respect that a lot. He would have been the odd one out, but I have no doubts that he's sticking with the team and that he'll play his hardest. Him pulling a Manny isn't even an issue in my mind.
  13. Oh boy, this is going to be an adventure, and not in a positive way.
  14. I'm kind of torn on this one. I do think that good talent such as Masterson would generally be better suited as a starter, however I think we'd have the best bullpen in baseball if he were there. What I like about this is that we have question marks in the rotation, and I'm never that confident about Wakefield or whoever our 5th starter is. Personally I think that Masterson should start at the beginning of the year and hold Smoltz's spot, and then shift to the bullpen afterwards. This is also because I don't want to increase Masterson's innings total by all that much in one season. With that said, I trust Theo and company and we have depth to help with those question marks.
  15. I'm just hoping that Thabeet stays another year seeing that we'd lose Adrien. I'm curious about Ater Majok and Chukwumba Okwandu. I've heard much about those 2 big guys but I haven't had a good look at what they are like on the hardwood. I believe Majok is academically ineligible and I'm not sure about Okwandu. I believe we are getting a pretty good frontcourt player next year in Alex Oriakhi. Not that this is particularly relevant, but could you imagine if Rudy Gay stayed all four years and if Andrew Bynum actually went to Uconn instead of skipping out and going to the NBA?
  16. Of course last year it was Dyson's suspension and Price tearing his ACL 4 minutes into the first round of the tournament (and a buzzer beating shot by San Diego) that was Uconn's undoing. Well at least they got a bunch of good games out of him. I think it does increase his likelihood of being back here next year though...
  17. Looks like Dyson could miss the rest of the season with torn lateral meniscus. Just f***** great.
  18. Just switch Penny and Masterson and that's mine. I might also have the 5-6-7 go Bay, Lowell, Drew.
  19. I think Penny's picture is a bit misleading, but yeah, he's definitely "festively plump"
  20. I'm sure that GOM will find a way to top it...
  21. Zack Greinke had far more mental issues than Buchholz. Greinke's problems are much more anxiety related rather than confidence related. I'm not knocking the dude, knowing personal friends with similar ailments, but they are two totally different issues. Buchholz just needs to proverbially "get laid" but on the field...
  22. I would have guessed Lugo--I swear Manny and Lugo had a great friendship... Although Ortiz has said that the team was better and probably would have won the WS had Manny been on the team...
  23. Go Uconn!! Boo everyone else!!
